    No doubt.

    People forget what a huge impact that fight had. Much lesser events than that would sell Wembley out tbh. Depending on the prising of tickets of course.

    I dont think he would 100,000 is a **** load Muhammad Ali in boxings hey day could only manage at max 65,000 and he was an still is the most popular boxer ever by far.

    ok fair play you manned up but remember hatton vs mayweather did over 1million ppv buys in the uk alone hatton took 35-40,000 fans to vegas and more money was bet on hatton vs mayweather than any other sporting event in british history, also there was something like 55,000 at his fight with lazcano to be honest the build up to the mayweather fight in the media was on a scale that i have genuinly never seen before and expect to not see again. But you are entitled to your opinion personally i think it would have done a 100,000 seater stadium quite easily

    My initial reaction was no, but looking at the figures for the lazcano fight and taking into account how Many people went to Vegas, I would at a push say 70-80k. The view for some would be horrendous.
    How many were at Bruno v McCall?

    Being the fact that the UK fans drank the MGM grand dry when they fought, I think it's safe to assume that a 100,000 seater stadium is within our grasp.

    yes it would have. the fight got alot of media attention to a point where even non boxing fans were talking about the fight, so yes it would have done very well in the UK. i think floyd realised that after the fight, which is why he wants to come back to england to fight, the only problem is we have no decent fighter at that weight now with the popularity of hatton. theres amir khan, which is the only fighter that floyd could fight in england, but amir hasn't done enough just yet to warrant such a fight, and it won't be as big as hatton vs floyd anyway.

    I think Mayweather v Hatton was very close to being made for Wembley, until Golden Boy stepped in to capture Hatton's signature.
