What about the great job he did against Arturo Gatti ... Angel Manfredy ... the shutout he did of the cinderella man Carlos "tata" Baldomir ... the first title win against Genero Hernandez when he cried and actually shed tears because no one thought he could do it so soon and no one thought he could do it against Hernandez ...

HIm calling out a ton of fighters and when he faced them he beat them ...

The fight w/ Jesus Chavez ... who out of all fighters gave PBF the most trouble and made him make the most adjustments ...

His fight with Emmanuel Burton and how his herky jerky style gave Floyd trouble ... his fight w/ Demarcus Chop Chop Corely ... when he showed that moving up in weight - he could be more aggressive ...

 

Mayweather blocked and slipped most of Chavez's shots and countered him silly.

Harold Lederman proved once again his love of ineffective aggression when he had Mayweather losing after 7.

Chavez won a round or 2 and made Mayweather work harder than usual but Castillo, Judah, and De La Fishnet all gave Mayweather more trouble than Chavez.

What Would I Say About His Legacy, Career?"... He Would've Sadly Left At The Wrong Time. A Lot More To Prove Than He Has. Probably One Of The Top 25 Of Our Era, Probablyyyyyy... And One Of The 145-175 Atg. He Could've Done Better Imo If It Were Not 4 His Cherrypicking And/or Quality Of Opposition. Finally , He Would Go As A Shame For The True And Pure Boxing Fan.. (the Ones Not Interested In How Much Dollars He Makes..

 

i dont entirely agree, as Floyd has faced the best in each division through his 10 years as pro bar Welterweight.

But I ask this question.....If Sugar Ray robinson were around in this Era, don't you think he would be more commercially minded?
Do you think he would have fought 100+ times ....we would like to think so but the answer is NO!! he would negotiate the best for himself or have a management team in place to do so.



Judge Floyd by his Era, he is the blueprint for a Superstar in the 21st century

Ray Robinson was very business-minded in his own era. He was a pain at the negotiating table and made lots of enemies. Some blamed the gift draw that Fullmer got against Robinson on Ray being so despised.

I have little doubt that Robinson, a guy who freely admitted is wal all business and didn't like the sport, would be getting major money from HBO and going for all the big paydays if he were around today.

 

He would be rememberd as an ATG, who was massivly overrated by some and underrated by others.

Who would only have been beaten by great fighters in history at his best weights.

 

An immensely talented fighter, but one who favoured the path of least resistance.

 

I'd say "what a ****".
If he died, I'd say "what a waste".
