If he wins tonight I guess we can put him in the top 100 ATG list.

 

There are at least three (Cotto, Williams, Margo) and possibly four (Cintron) GREAT fighters who many will claim can beat Floyd. He can either face any number of them, or he can safely RETIRE.

Which choice would make him a true ATG? What would ATG's of the past have done? And Floyd's gonna run his mouth about being NOT just an ATG, but THE BEST FIGHTER EVER TO PUT GLOVES ON???

Give me a ****ing break. No problem if he retires, he doesn't owe anyone a fight, but he can't be remembered as anything but a "great" fighter if he does. Not even in the discussion with other obvious names that I don't even need to mention.

what audio 101 said. How can Mayweather be considerded an ATG if he didn't clean out the division? If he retires right now, that will just make him a ***** and a coward. I mean you have the #1 welterweight who's hardly even fighting any of the top opponents, I'm not saying he should fight all of them, but he should fight guy's like Cotto, Clottey, Margerito, or Mosley. I've never heard of a fighter who doesn't even want to fight the best in his division. Guys like Sugar Ray Leonard always wanted fight the best, so did Lennox Lewis, but you have little Mayweather here who likes to cherry pick his opponents, what kind of f***ing champion is that? I can understand if he's like 35 years old and needs to be choosey about who he fights, but he's only 30 and probably has a couple more years left in him. If he retires after this fight, I wouldn't give a ****, but it will dimish his legacy because he DUCKED the top opponents in his division.

Okay I misread his post, I thought he said Mayweather is the best p4p fighter in history. All I'm saying is if he wants to be considerded THE best then he should fight guys like Cotto, Clottey, and Cintron or any of the other top wealterweights.
