Merchant was actually the only one ok on the crew with what Floyd did to Ortiz. Thats Merchants kind of fight. Thats the type of boxing Merchant likes to see.

But Mayweather was hearin it from the crowd, and his adrenaline was probably through the roof, he would have exploded on anyone that night.

But Merchant has built up enough animosity rightfully so that it was bound to happen again.

Floyd wants to control everything. When he can't have his way, he has a hissy-fit

I doubt Mayweather would want to have a post fight interview with Larry. Im sure they will get in Merchant instead. Its the logical thing to do at the moment

Any reason why Larry gets to be on for so Mayweather fights? I only remember Kellerman being on the Marquez fight ever since Floyd came out of retirement. I used to think it was just chance when it comes to who's selected, but it seems you know something we all don't.

It's no secret Floyd is an overly emotional crybaby. It's also no secret Larry Merchant doesn't like Floyd and will look for any opportunity to **** with him, whilst being fully aware of how Floyd is going to react.

If Floyd refuses to do a post-fight interview with Merchant, what's that say about the best fighter in the world shrinking from the questions of an 80-year-old man?

I think there will be an interview if Floyd wins by performing aggressively like he did in the Mosley fight especially if he stops Cotto(e).

If you rewatch the interview after the Mosley bout, you could see Floyd and Merchant were fine towards each other.

I think its a good thing if Floyd avoids him, it ensures that no post fight drama occurs. I hate when things get out of hand outside the ring which outshines the actual fight itself. Boxing should be about the fighters and not interviewers

Doesnt matter. Its unanimous that Floyd is a dick. But Merchant can also be an unprofessional dick

Something I noticed is Floyd's body language during the interview:

Look at 2:07 onwards. Merchant is busy asking a question but Floyd isn't listening. He's staring directly at Richard Schaefer for a long moment, and Schaefer is staring back. It then looks like Schaefer gives him a very slight nod. Floyd suddenly looks a bit uncertain, then explodes at Merchant out of nowhere. All of that seems pretty suspicious to me, as if Floyd is given a signal to quickly terminate the interview or cause a scene. Why? No idea.

You're looking for something that isn't there. Have you seen any of Floyd's other interviews? Go watch his interview with Costas or even the faceoff. He anticipates where the line of questioning is going, makes assumptions about the intentions of the interviewer. Schaefer is not about to signal Floyd when to end an interview. Mayweather doesn't seem like the kind of guy to take orders like that anyway.
