Can't bring it to mind, s. How would you characterize the interview? Know Mario trained seriously at Wild Card, 'n was friendly with Pac.
UK boxing commentators are awful. My Dad and me always have a laugh when trying to guage who will win a scrap that's on Sky TV. We both agree that whoever Jim Watt says will win, bet on the other guy. At best Barry McGuigan is good. Adam Smith is awful (or is it Adam Booth?). Johnny Nelson is no good. The best in the business for me is Al Bernstein.
Agree with this people don't understand that after a fight the fighters adrenaline is very high and with the personality Mayweather has and Merchants interview it will lead to drama again
The snapping at Floyd, ad saying he would kick his ass if younger. Also he seems to turn himself into part of story too much, as did Jim Gray and Teddy Atlas. If it happened one time it would be understandable. If an announcer did it once years ago they would apologize fort taking away from the event. Now it is popular, or seems to be common. The boxers are the attraction, and one doing the fighting, focus needs to be kept on them, and announcers creating feuds with them is a sideshow I personally could do without. Some seem to enjoy it though, which I see as a negative trend, but that is just my opinion on it.
Floyd just does not want his moment ruined.. You win a Championship and you have some commentator giving you **** instead of talking about the victory
The post fight interview was far more entertaining than the May/Moseley fight. Send Merchant back in there and see what happens.
Floyd said on 24/7 he wont do a post fight interview if Merchant is conducting it! He's like a spoiled child, what a ****ing joke!
Merchant won't give him due credit regardless...I wouldn't do an interview with Merchant either. Kellerman is better anyways. Merchant just hates if he don't like the fighter or sucks a fighter's dick if he likes the fighter...damn shame he has such a bias.
...is that according to fans or Floyd, s? When I read something like this:all I can think of is my experience interviewing politicians. If they're running for office, they'll wine 'n dine you, give you 24/7 talking about themselves...but if there's a hint of scandal, they're no place to be found.
It's me talking as a boxing fan..not a fan of Floyd....the guy seems to make up his opinion, based on a guy's background and color...it seems that, if a fighter has some "ghetto" tendencies, talks a certain way, while being a certain color, he can't like them and it shows in their interviews.:thumbsup
