If Mike Tyson at his best fought every good opponent Muhammad Ali fought could he have beaten them?

He beats everyone but maybe prime Holmes.

Well, if that would be the case, then no, Tyson doesn't go undefeated. But a prime Tyson would.

He might well lose to Liston, Foreman, and Holmes.

Remember that Liston was old, did not train properly and had a shoulder injury, so his chances of beating Tyson are slim.
Foreman went life and death with Lyle, Tyson is more accurate and would hit him with far more punches.
I don't see any version of Holmes beating Tyson.

Those three imo would all beat him. As great a puncher as Liston was, I think he'd UD Mike. Foreman tko 2 (style all wrong for Mike imo), Holmes TKO in 9 (one round earlier than the inferior Douglas).

The Liston fight would be the most interesting, because Mike might floor Liston. Mike would pretty much for sure floor Larry. but otherwise be dominated by the jab and uppercut.

His chances are greatly reduced, but it might have been over before his training became an issue. He wouldn't have had to go looking for Tyson.
Lyle had a bad style for Foreman.

Tyson is tailor made for him.
That one is a long conversation.

    I lean towards Tyson personally.

Liston was old when he faced Ali, did not train properly and had an injury. I doubt he stands much chance

I'm not entirely sure about Frazier. Mike had a really good heart, but Frazier had one of steel. He never gave up against Foreman, kept getting up clapping his gloves together. It's tough...I doubt Mike could stop Joe, but he could win a SD or maybe a UD.

It depends on if Rooney is still training him, Tyson wasn`t shot as early as people think he just lost focus and enthusiasm.

Mike was quicker than Liston and I don`t think Liston could take Mike`s shots for 15 rounds coming forwards.

Wouldn't beat Foreman or Liston IMO.

This is a really valid point. I think, besides Frazier, Liston is the most difficult for me to say for sure would beat Mike. There were chinks in his armor...but I'm not sure Mike ever experienced a jab as crushing and equilibrium-wrecking a Liston's. If Douglas was able to jab and uppercut him out, it would seem to me prime Liston...

wait, I take that back, Douglas was unquestionably faster than Liston during the Mike fight.

Tough call for me. Confident on the Foreman and Holmes.

You should have exempted Liston & Foreman as those could be threads unto themselves. Otherwise, yes....yes he could have beaten Ali's roster.
