One of thee worst moves that I can remember in Boxing this fight is..Skill advantage for Mikey wont bridge the gap imo..He has to move too much, hes gonna be shattered way quicker than Spence
The respect is mutual, brother from a Southern mother, but I've got to adopt the same tack and just agree to disagree here. He's a beast of a quick athletic specimen and his body game is for real, and he probably does beat most if not all of the other welters (of whom Thurman is by far my favorite, but I can't help but think One-Time is too fragile not to get ten-counted in that match-up) but I can't rate a win over him right now as better than one against Golovkin (even if strictly on paper; I thought GGG won both matches) nor does it combine with his other recent body of (good but not great) work to displace Loma's run of Rigondeaux/Linares/Pedraza.
He didn't lie though. Garcia beating Spence, who is in his prime, would be more impressive than beating corpse drained De La Hoya.
ive rated spence higher and longer than anyone on here except maybe you. ive had him top 5 p4p for a very long time, way before a mikey fight was even considered. since winning his title at feather, mikey is about to get in the ring with the most avoided champion in boxing, for a world title in his 5th division, all in a span of 8 fights. mikey beats spence, and there is no doubt about who the best fighter in the world is, in 2019.
