If Mikey vacates WBC title, then he’s ducking Loma

    In the last two statements I’ve seen, he and his brother both say they don’t see the fight happening for at least three years. This is in addition to all the other excuses Mikey gives about why the fight can’t happen, including weight classes, Loma’s poor resume, Bob Arum, networks, Loma needs to establish himself at 135 with a belt and at least 3 fights.

    Are you saying you’ve never heard the Garcias say these things daily to Elie Seckback and everyone else, even most recently at Mikey’s post fight press conference?

    I think he can make 135 because he looks a little fleshy at 140 so whilst it’s way more comfortable to be at 140 I’m sure he could 135 too.

    So if he took Baraynchuk instead of the winner of Loma vs Linares by vacating, you wouldn’t call that a duck?

    I’ve not heard him say anything about three years but if he did that’s nonsense. Loma only needs to beat Linares and he is established and that’s his mandatory so that’s bull crap too. They would in the same weight class, the only problem is the networks, if Espn are open to working with showtime then that’s sorted too.

    I guess they are because, for example, Gvozdyk's last fight (vs. Craig Baker) was broadcasted by ESPN and Showtime.
    The main event that night was Crawford vs. Indongo.

    When will mikey move up to 147? When Loma moves to 140.

    Part of me actually thinks Garcia would actually rather fight spence than Loma because then he can blame it on being the smaller man, were as I really don’t think he wants to be schooled and embarrassed against Loma cause Loma is the smaller man plus Garcia has always looked to avoid people who aren’t just basic come forward fighters.

    Oh excellent then that’s not a problem either, like I said if both men hold WBC titles and the fight doesn’t happen who vacates is the person ducking.

    He wouldn’t get schooled whoever wins that fight will know they have been in a fight. Both are elite fighters and top 5 p4p guys, I expect to be very close like Ward vs Kovalev or GGG vs Canelo as someone stated above.

    Spence would stop Mikey, he is too big. I’m sure Mikey would take a Loma fight before a Spence fight which he is almost certain to lose.

    it depends entirely on who Mikey would be facing. Can't make statements like this w/o knowing who he supposedly 'ducked' Loma for.

    Garcia really said Loma has a poor resume lol that's a joke right there he must have been taking about himself because the amount of fights his had his resume is pathetic what a self entitled peice of trash and 100% he doesn't want to fight anyone that can up the levels he wants basic fighters

    Not easy fights, but Lipinets is better than any of them. Maybe Baranchyk can improve but right now that is the case.

    This. It's always a two part question, so until we know who Mikey's next opponent would be, calling it a duck isn't fair.

    It'd look like Jack was ducking Bivol if it wasn't a Stevenson fight he signed for instead.
