If Mikkel Kessler was handled by Americans, would he be any more popular?

Miranda a show fight for 10 rounds.
Kessler backed out for a vacant wba title shot against Mundine.
    Mundine backed out.
Kessler and HBO offered Miranda the wba vacant title shut.
Miranda declined and signed for the Abraham fight.

We have done this 100 times now :tired

Simple facts but :| i witch Kessler had fought Miranda in the first place. Actually i would love Kessler to take on Miranda next.

"A 3 fight option clause - but mandatory defenses don't count".

It actually means, that Palle can turn down/make negotiations fails at will. Maybe thats why the Miranda, Johnson and Dawson fight never was on????

I like Kessler and he is good for the game. However,to blame Palle is silly.Kessler signed the contract. It is binding.Kessler could have had a lawyer negotiate it for him and perhaps did so_One can easily argue that it was Palle who maneovered Kessler into a position to fight for the title initially. Is this not worth anything?
I can't stand Palle but lets all be fair about this.

which might very well be the case jan..

if i recall correctly, kessler and palle went to the rjj - cal fight, with the intentions of getting some attention and getting kessler a big fight.. well that was the "official" palle plan, but palle was already working on the larsen fight, and that was also the reason larsen rejected bute..

so palle publically and to kessler stated, he was working on "something" in the states, but actually planning for the larsen fight.. so your thoughts about palle ****ing up kesslers us plans, actually isnt far fetched

after hearing this I feel really bad for Kessler he is big poweful exciting guy with sound fundamentals and its a shame that we don't see more of him. I would love to see him go over to the states for a couple of years and just make a real crack at it. We should start the release Mikkel Kessler from his contract foundation.

I think that both Palle and Kessler wants the big fights. Palle just does not feel the cake is big enough for him compared the reward plus the assumption that Palle's strategy is very short term he is talking about retirement. So he wants to maximize the $ output on the next few fights. Now Dawsom, Taylor etc, does not pay much more than a Larsen fight staged in Denmark would, with the German networks on the side.

Kessler is willing to risk to take a fight at a lower purse with the "promise" of something bigger ahead. If he wants to build a name for himself in America it would probably take at least 3-5 fights to do that properly, and then the money is there.

Palle has made so many mistakes in his career, mostly because he is so damned stubborn that if he can not get it exactly as he likes it, then he takes the consequence, The world should be grateful that he has no nuclear veapons, he would not hesitate to use it. It happened many times that the danish networks and he could not agree on the terms to get the rights for his shows, after which Palle declined the good networks and then later sold the rights to a **** network, assumably for less.

We have many fighters from Denmark that at least should have gotten a shot at a title, but they somehow never got the fight until they were over the top or had been inactive for a long time. I think since it is so many cases it is fair to say that Palle is not good at going the last step. I think his expectations is way out of what is realistic, and he does not understand that just because he has a good fighter, the rest of the world is not in awe over that.

Now Palle is stubborn again, alone he mentions the price of airtickets etc, just shows how unresonable he is, airtickets are peanuts in this game. It will be very bad for Kessler if this goes to court. I hope that Kessler counted his money and thought about how much he would take out in order to get rid of Palle, second he should think about how much he can win by getting this over fast, and think what he will loose if he does not fight. Forget about thinking what is fair and unfair. Fair and unfair does not apply once you set your signature on a contract.
