I don't know if he could pull off the Pavlik gameplan. I think it is hard for anyone doing anything to change until they are forced to change. For him, flurry and clam up has worked so far. I think that is his comfort zone. Plus, you don't start a few months ahead of time and do a complete rework, let alone build up the stamina needed to match Pavlik's output.
Miranda's punch power is just like Tszyu's was. He needs to be coming forward to get any leverage. There isn't much variety either, all his power comes from the right hand
If Miranda wins against Abraham, it's a good solid win, and it will probably open some doors to bigger things. As far as Edison calling Pavlik out for a rematch, I'd say he should keep his mouth shut and move on. Miranda has one advantage against Pavlik; arm length. Everything else goes to Kelly. The consequence of that is that Pavlik wins at least 4 out of 5 at any weight. I'll be rooting for Pantera, and I think he may very well pull it off. AND there's a bonus. If Miranda beats Arthur, that opens the door to Pavlik/Calzaghe.
Lets assume that Miranda will be victorious in his upcomming encounter with Abraham and win in convincing fashion! I think that it is a sure bet to say that Miranda would be ranked very highly at supermiddle by all leading box mags, experts and fight fans around the globe. But................he wont win his upcomming fight against Abraham neither by point decision or nor by ko. He couldnt stop his severely injured opponent who was fighting for more than 7 rounds with a totally shattered jaw bleeding like a shot pig.Nevertheless,Abraham was the one who connected with the more telling punches throughout his first encounter with Miranda. Well, mircale happen now and then.Miranda had better keep his nose to the grindstone, sweat inside a gym,and attend his local church regularly or he will be put out of action very quickly by Abraham who doesnt take prisoner inside a box ring. Cant really see Miranda go the full route with a healthy Abraham!
Lets wait till 21 June and we will see real Abraham . Miranda have respect for me because in first fight he was very good in the ring but he makes some fouls and this think makes to lose the fight.
Does it erase the first loss to Abraham, at least to the above arguments that the doubters have. Does beating the undefeated IBF middleweight champ 6lbs north give Miranda a reason to be ranked high at 168lbs? What will people say about Miranda if he is a clear win over Abraham on June 21st?[/quote] I dont understand where you are going, his loss actually/of course would make a win more valueable. Nothing is sweeter than revenging a loss and at the same time showing improvement. Quit that 168 concern. The audience likes watching your boy, thats what truely matters. with HBO or Showtime backing, you can land classy fights, while other very good fighters will wait for Godot!
If he wins he will definitely get a title shot or a big fight, probably against Kessler. I doubt he will win, but anything can happen.
Abraham will add miranda's ass to him. This time, no excuses of robbery, he will be broken down & not make 9. He's the new mayorga, miranda, typical bully who folds when things don't go his own way.
He was beaten the first time and he'll be beaten again. Whilst he is a level above Mayorga, achievements are likely to be similar.
