Would you pick Mitchell to beat Juan Diaz if he fought him next?

prob not i like mitchell but think diaz would have to much experience at world level .mitchells best chance would be to box and move the way he did against presscot but i dont think he as the discapline to do it for 12 rnds and diaz would drag him into his cand of fight

prescott beat khan. and if they fight again no matter what version khan is he will probably get knocked out again.

So why are you picking the guy who beat Diaz to lose to Mitchell. You think Mitchell can 'outbox' Malignaggi?

diaz and malignaggi are competley different fighters although paulie is a skillfull boxer u can aford to take more risk due the lack of power so if mitchell were to forget his gameplan against paulie he would still make it back to his corner and put back on track on the other hand if he gets involved in a brawl with a decent puncher he might not be so lucky .just think the lack of power on paulies part would give mitchell the confidence to beat him

Are there any other European level SFWs that have beaten Malignaggi in this way? Nobody else that Malignaggi ever beat was similarly inspired by this lack of power? N'Dou? He's an actual LWW. He can brawl. Never occured to him?

This fight would have nothing to do with styles at all, it would have to do with levels and weight classes and Malignaggi is several levels and two weight classes above Mitchell.

you might be right its just my opinion. i do like malignaggi but u cant simply say 1 fighter beats another cos of how theve done against common oppenents people deal with different styles. or we could just say mitchell beats khan because he beat presscot but we all know khan could outbox mitchell

They don't have any common opponents, the only connection you can get is to draw a line through Malignaggi-Diaz-Katsidis-Mitchell.

The reason they don't have common opponents is the same reason why Mitchell would lose. Malignaggi is way too big and way too good for him.

What's next? Darren Barker is only a crushing defeat away from being able to beat Glen Johnson at this rate...

thats the conection u made earlier mate u asked why would i pick him to beat paulie and not diaz when pauli already beat diaz u cant pick a winner that way . malignaggi as said himself that he his gonna take advantage of his routes and chase mathew hatton for the european title so he himself his putting himself at that level

Malignaggi now should retire, no more motivation to fight at the top level, but apparantly fancies somekind of European veterans tour. Malignaggi after Diaz (which is what we were talking about - facing Khan's opposition) schools Mitchell.

I seriously don't get it, Mitchell has never beaten a top ten fighter at 130lbs (which is where he still belongs IMO), never beaten a top ten lightweight, but you'll quite happily pick him to beat not one but two top ten light welterweights (we haven't even touched on how he beats Kotelnik yet!). How far are we going here? Are there top ten welterweights he can beat too? Clottey? Collazo? Mosley?

what top 10 fighter had khan beat before kotelnik none (apart from an old cut barrera) but he still managed to beat kotelnik you cant beat a top 10 fighter untill u fight 1 .ill discuss boxing with u all day long mate but i wont argue with u because we have different opinions ur just being childish with ur mosley, collazo and clottey

Mitchell is a good boxer, as long as the fight is at distance. Especially if the opponent isn't a pressurizer type. So he could have won against all the opponents Kahn fought, though... it would have been a bit difficult for him versus Paulie.

Mitchell has a better chin than Khan (though that's not saying much), problem is, his mentality does not match his fighting style. He thinks himself as a tough man and sadly, I don't think he's all that tough at lightweight. Not exactly strong fisted, can take a punch, but if the punch is strong, takes a while to recover...

    But he can box.

IMO, Mitchell wouldn't have known about Prescott either (Just as the Khan camp didn't) and would have traded and took risks and probably got knocked out.

Ive only seen paulie malignaggi fight 4 times so it might be a bit harsh to judge. however i seen him against cotto, n'dou, hatton and khan. from what i see i think he is garbage. cotto was his best performance out the 4. hatton outboxed him and hatton isnt the best technical boxer in the world. i scored the n'dou fight a draw and i think paulie looked dreadful. khan pasted him.

theres nothing i seen in paulie that suggests he could beat mitchell. i could be wrong and i stand to look the fool but thats my oppinion.
