Just got done watching the first Jones/Griffen fight....I gotta be honest. Griffen was winning that fight until he got took a knee and got KTFO while he was down. He was a sneaky, awkward counter puncher that had good power and hand speed.

We all know what happened in the rematch though....can't help but think RJJ's career would have turned out differently if Griffen had a better chin. A prime Griffen also beat a prime James Toney keep in mind...twice! Griffen was very short for 175 at 5'7, but I wonder if he had a chin like toney, could he have been a dominant champion. Thoughts?

I agree Griffin was up by a round or two, but Roy was starting to wear him down. It was a combination of some good shots and Montell just being too tired to box to the high level he did early that led to his downfall.

Roy would win a close decision if he never hurt Montell. He was started to get there with his punches.
