Who should erik fight next IF he beats diaz at 135.

I think morales is more shot than tony montana personally (tho I hope not) but if he wins the lwt title & looks reborn at the weight, I think he should try get mab or pac to face him at 135... he shouldnt even contemplate super-featherweight as he looked dying vs the pacman last time.

Those are his main rivals in this era & to further cement his legacy he should face 1 if not both of them again before retiring... I`d rather he fought mab as their rivalry is genuine mexican hatred in & out the ring + a victory over mab will please erik (& his fans) more than a pac victory.

    long live el terrible

The winner of Diaz/Morales is supposed to fight Casamoyer, who was unfairly stripped of the title Diaz now has. Of course, there is no guarantee that fight will happen; they could screw Casa again.

No way Morales fights Casamayor. Diaz would if he wins - it would be the biggest $$ fight for him, but Morales would sooner retire or vacate than fight Casamayor, who would absolutely outclass either of them.

I think you're right. Diaz would take the fight, but Morales would not. I don't think EM would want to fight MAB or Pac, either. He's a warrior, but he has been in enough wars.

I'm a Casa fan so I wouldn't mind seeing Diaz win just so Joel can get a shot back at the belt that was taken unjustly from him.

If he beats Diaz, he should hang them up for sure, because after that he's gone! BUT, he ain't going to beat Diaz, not now, so after he loses, he should fight a 'name' like medina or **** thats also shot and who he can beat to end his career on a high point.

I too think erik is a shell of his former self, Ive never seen diaz fight but I have a feeling that he is someone morales would have been heavily favoured to beat if erik was still a p4p elite version of himself.

I had a bad feeling after the raheem fight that erik was shot & that continues to look the case, but being a huge morales fan & having rooted for him since about 1997, I will continue to pray for this miracle... if anybody deserves 1 last moment of glory its morales.

Damn I specifically remember you as a Morales guy. I hope he can win and then hangs him up as well. He and Barrera brought us tons of memories and its time for them to let the youngn's handle it from here on out.

I have a hard time seeing Morales beat Diaz at this point in his career. If he loses I wouldn't be surprised if hangs em up or looks for some sort of farewell gimme before calling it quits. If he pulls off the upset I don't think he'll retire and I definitly don't think he faces Casamayor. If he continues, a fight against Barrera would make the most sense. They have their obvious rivalry and both are no longer prime fighters, I think Morales has slipped more though. But it will probably be retirement for Morales because I can't see him getting by Diaz.

I fear El Terrible is gna die in that ring. Maybe not in the diaz fight but sum otha night. He jus wont quit that guy. He's askin for trouble if he carries on afta this one. I think he's mad as it is for even fighting afta the pacman fight.

how so? diaz isnt anything special. only way i might consider erik is not a shot fighter is if he doesnt look it. that would require a win by ko or thorough domination by erik. as far as the pacman fight is concerned, he was shot, get over it.:yep
