Daniel "Dirty" Dubois is the luckiest boxer.

    1) Get's an opportunity to fight top contender Joyce, and quits
    2) Has a dishonest referee who saves him against Lerena, then gifts him a British stoppage
    4) Gets a world title shot against Usyk over many more deserving boxers
    5) Quits against Usyk after a jab, then cries for months about his low blow (that really was low)
    6) Is gifted the IBF title, after beating Hrgovic with many deliberate head butts, which the corrupt referee ignored
    7) Gets a huge payday at Wembley in London, against Anthony Joshua

I hope Joshua KOs the overprivileged jerk.

This. They should’ve made him fight Joshua for the vacant belt, so he can at least earn his championship status.

Big Frank secured Yarde two world title shots, the later of which for three belts in his own backyard, despite the fact Yarde's best win is Lyndon Arthur who he's 1-1 against, and his 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc. best wins are Pete the postman, Brian the bricklayer, and Derek the delivery driver.

Dubois beating Hrgovic makes him legit, I'm wasn't sure AJ could beat Hrgovic

He is actually a positive anomaly. 26 years old and win or lose hes already been in there with Usyk, Joyce, Hrgovic, Miller, Lerena and now is about to fight AJ. Most guys fight random taxi drivers until they're in their 30s.

And they deserve it since the UK market is an absolutely massive part of boxings overall popularity and profile. Imagine the boxing scene especially in Europe without all those "overhyped" British fighters, Eddie Hearn, Fish Eyes, all those big Wembley crowds etc. The sport would be niche as ****. No point hating on the UK being a great market for the sport compared to most other places.

Yeah he's gotten a lot of opportunities but he took risks too. The fact is too many prospects protect that 0, while Dubois has shown he's willing to fight anyone and that leads to opportunities.

Yes being a Brit helps. Fact is there's a big market for boxing here and money talks in boxing and that creates opportunities. Plus UK fans don't care if you lose, we love a plucky loser, it's why Bruno was a national treasure, Chisora has made more money later in his career as a gatekeeper than when he was a contender. Also why Froch despite losing to Ward became a bigger star after that loss. In comparison, Hrgovic lost and you had one of his biggest supporters on here basically giving up on him.

Nonsense. He was the favourite against Joyce, Joyce got the shot at him, and took it.

He then went the mandatory shots route, Usyk had 3 belts so there was very clearly a path to a title shot there.

He was seen as a cherry pick by Hrgovic.

I do too. I think the point t of the thread is that most dudes never even get that one shot at a top guy, he got 3 following L's.

He been elevated to full champion. Joshua will be treated as a defense instead of Vacant title bout.

Currently yes I agree. I don't like it when fighters are emailed belts. But if Dubois beats AJ, that makes him a legitimate world champ in my eyes.

Really big fan of triple D. When Dubois dismantles that useless bodybuilder, then Don and his dad can throw Femi out the ring. I hope Frank and his heavies, pick up Joshua's battered carcass, drag him out the arena and into the back alley. Give him a good hiding for insulting Warren's boxing stable!
