Yes bigger upset. It's not that Wlad is more formidible than Tyson was at the time (he wasn't and certainly wasn't destroying people like tyson was), it's that mormeck is soo weak of a hw challenger compared to buster or almost anyone. Buster, losses and all, at least had showed some the necessary hw tools to contend at different times and was in his prime. Mormeck is 40 year old slug who has only showed he's competitive with fringe fringe hws

i can agree with this...looking back on it Douglas had some tools to beat Tyson, and Tyson had a lot of issues in his personal life and a terrible training camp...Douglas was ranked at the time, i doubt Mormeck is at all...if you looked past the hype around him, one could see a possible upset...

Tyson losing was front page news all over the world. Wlad losing will barely get a mention in the sports section, and besides, he's lost three times already to B level HWs so it wouldn't be as much as an upset to the rest of the world as a seemingly prime Tyson losing to a 42/1 underdog.

I think wlad losing would be a bigger shock her is why. Wlad is simply more of a champion than Tyson. Mike was a time bomb Wlad is a consummate professional. Wlad is more of a predictable, sure champion than Tyson ever was. So yes, Wlad losing would be a bigger surprise

    No.

Tyson was considered unbeatable. He was a monster. Douglas was unranked.

On the other side, Wlad has been beaten by weak fighters before. He's considered to skilled to be beaten, but not unbeatable. And Mormeck is a past-prime cruiserweight all time great. At least he has a past.

No, Tyson was unstoppable in everyones eyes and a monster. People don't necessarily view Wlad the same. Tons of haters think he's a glass jawed ***** that anybody can beat but nobody seems to be able to.
One thing I'm pretty sure about though is that Wlad won't be dipping his wick into Japanese whores instead of training and coming in prepared. Tyson was **** all prepared for that fight and that's on him and his partying. Wlad will come just as prepared as for any fight, but should he lose everyone will just go "see, glass jawed fraud"

I think Tyson Douglas was the upset on the century. Everyone knows Wlad's chin can't take it, so whats the big deal? Its only a matter of time before someone tags him again.

Had Adamek beat VK, even that would have been bigger than Mormeck beating Wlad.

Close call and I've wondered the question myself. I think I'd go with Wlad-Mormeck being a bigger upset. The reason is that Douglas was an actual top 10 contender had size, in his prime, and the right tools on his side. Mormeck, once a good cruiserweight, probably isn't a top 20 contender, faded, and has absolutely no tools to beat Wlad. Douglas had little to no shot to beat Tyson, I honestly feel Mormeck has no chance forget a little.
