Sorry to look so far ahead, but if Mosley beats Cotto like I'd like him too (fan of both guys, great for boxing) and then goes on to fight the winner of Hatton vs Mayweather, and wins, would he be ranked number 1 pvp and number 1 of our gen ? I know he lost twice to v.forrest (styles) and twice to winky (size, pretty much the same disadvantage as winky had to hopkins). In my opinion, and this is as a boxing fan: list Mosely will tko Cotto Mosley vs Mayweather could go either way, close fight. In the middleweight scene Calzaghe tko Kessler Calzaghe UD Hopkinks or UD to Hopkins. Obviously then TOP PVP3 will be between Mayweather/Mosley, Calzaghe, Pac. if results go the way the current standards are. All 4 challengers will have a legit claim to no1 pvp if they win their next 2 fights. All in all, its not a fan of who u are, its good for fans of boxing full stop.
It would be no different then all the hopkins diehards going crazy now. If Mosley were to beat Cotto, and then Floyd I would have him at the top again. Its also something that is very likely. Shane doesnt have much trouble with fighters his size. Its the long guys that use the jab that gives him trouble. Cotto is very beattable for Shane, I actaully think that shane would stop Cotto. A fight with Floyd would be that best fight at 147 to me. I would give Floyd a slight edge, but I think that it would be 12 rounds that looked like the first two round with Judah.:good
If Mosley beats Cotto at 147 his legacy would increase greatly. I think Shane can do it, even at 36 years of age. Go Mosley! :good
