Mayweather paid penalty to Marquez, not to the commission.

Floyd did not have to come in at 144. The fight was set at 147.

    Whatever!

Obviously, you have selective comprehension. try reading the highlighted text and you will have an idea why Mayweather Paid JMM instead of the commission!

Can't debate with you as you have a tunnel vision.

you do realize that mosley's last fight was at 147. and mosley had no business at 154 anyway. mosley should have no problems making the welterwieght limit.

Molsey has not business fighting the elites of 154, but he is big really at 147.

Have you seen them beside each other?

I am sure that Mosley would make 147, however, if he would use this strategy of coming in heavy, meaning he won't sweat it out, or dehydrate, would the fight still be on?

Floyd stopping a Mosley who would come in heavy, something close to 160?

    You must be dreaming?

no he isnt. you remember when he fought dlh. the concensus was he was too small for 147 as dlh( a fighter that you can consider as a big welterweight) looked bigger and stronger. same thing when he fought forrest. both forrest and dlh are guys you can call "Big" welterweights. mosley hasnt changed that much since then. when he moved to 154, he struggled because the weight was too high for him but he moved up because forrest beat him twice. now you may think that hes bigger then mayweather, but you have to remember that mayweather is a small welterweight himself, starting his career at super featherweight.

Mosley is small for 154, but he is definitely bigger than Mayweather.

He fought Winky and Vernon Forrest at 154 and the size diffrence is really obvious.

Mosley however could weigh at 154 if he wants, whereas Mayweather can never grow to be at 154, that is the difference.

In this fight, Mosley will definitely be the bigger fighter. Now if he exploits it by not even trying to weigh-in at 147, meaning he could target 149 or 150, thereby, he would not have to dehydrate himself and be much stronger, as well as heavier, that I believe is a good strategy.

Pay the 25% penalty but live another day for another mega-fight possibly with Pac.

actually, both forrest fights were at 147. secondly, again he looks bigger then mayweather because mayweather really could be a jr ww if he chose to. mosley never really looked great at 154 because, he was carrying too much weight. he lost to wright but also arguably lost to dlh, a guy he cleary beat 147, didnt look that great against estrada or cruz. he only scored two koes at, 154 and that was against vargas and mayorga, one fighter who had taken load if punhisment in his career and another one who was always limited to begin with. and the mayorga fight was no walk in the park because mayorga was the bigger and stronger man at 154. mosley is a fitness freak, so he be at 147 and still be strong. he made 147 for margo and had enough strength to destroy him like no other man ever before. mosley dosent need to come in at anything but 147.the bigger question is whether or not mayweather will make mosley take those same type of blood tests he asked pac to take since mosley had already admitted to using PEDs

Here's another thing that I forgot, there's an immediate rematch clause. So even if Mosley were to weigh in heavy on purpose and win, he would have to fight Mayweather again. And I'm sure an additional weight penalty clause would be added for the rematch. So in the end, purposely coming un overweight would cost Mosley 25% of his purse and he would have to fight Mayweather again anyway even if he were to win, and wouldn't be able to pull the same stunt in the second fight. It would be a dumb and pointless move by Shane.

He paid JMM but it was stipulated in the contract that if he came in over 144 he would pay JMM. Floyd DID NOT HAVE to come in at 144.
