I believe this fight is 60/40 in Margarito's favor.

For Shane to win he'll need to keep Margarito in the center of the ring and hold when Margarito gets him near the ropes.

Overall, I am a pessimistic fight fan of the fighters that I support, but I do think that Shane can win by landing his one or two good shots per round and keeping Margarito tied up in close quarters.

Quick funny story:

My Wife and I were in AC for the Hopkins - Pavlik fight and we were walking around Caesars before the weigh in on Friday afternoon. We actually had the fantastic opportunity to get a picture and conversation with Shane. He was in town to support B-Hop and to finalize the deal with Bob Arum for the Margarito fight. I just told Shane to "go to the f*cken body" against Antonio. If I had the convo over again, I would have told him to "hold the **** out of Margarito when in close quarters".

Shane can do this, I just feel it! I am more confident in him beating AM than him beating Cotto last year.

He's already an ATG but I don't know if I would put him ahead of DLH or Tito though they're all close in my opinion, I'm a huge Mosley fan so I might actually have him ahead, this win would also be huge though I don't see it happening. Wrong time for a fight like that.

Initially, we took the picture and Shane had his eyes closed. So we walked away, looked at the pic and noticed exactly that. I said to my Wife, we gotta ask him for another picture. So we went back, told him what happened and he laughed and allowed the second picture.

Shane is my Wife's favorite fighter, my favorite or tied for favorite (Chad Dawson) and this was all she wanted from the AC trip.

I think Oscar has the better status even if Shane beats Margo.

If Shane can beat another top level fighter I would probably go with him over Oscar, but barely.

I do think Shane has a better status than Tito as it is right now.

 

I love our dedicated true fighters, those that rely on heart, skill, talent and stamina alone. Shane is a dedicated cheater, there's a difference.

I really loved this guy way back when, I've watched all of his fights and I have a feeling he'll pull out a win against Margarito who is going to underestimate his recuperative ability (err.. ability.. I mean implemented through certain supplements).

I can really say that I hate the guy now, yes.. I can say that. This is more than a sport, this is life and death for these guys, and for some guy to take illegal supplements to get an edge that may end up killing the opponent is ****ing disgraceful.
