this. on paper, ODLH was the favorite to win and was supposed to capitalize on his jabs and neutralize pac the whole fight. its hard to predict how good fighters will be at that age.

My thoughts exactly. The fact is, Pacquiao was too ***** to fight Mosley and now all *******s are saying he was old and shot and the win means nothing. ****in dumbasses.

Mosley was a powerful dangerous welterweight. Unless you're Nostradamusand know in advance, when a guy is shot it normally unfolds in front or our eyes. A guy a certain age can have a great athletic performance one day and then the next one a few months later, he's unrecognizable. It's the same in any sport my friend.

With that being said, it doesn't change the fact that Mosley was Mayweather's best win !!

because pac at that time was barely making 140 and looking to go even further up to 147 while shane wasn't too long ago a 154 fighter gone down to 147.

    Are you stupid or what?

Do you understand what is "risk"? Do you imagine the number 1 p4p fighter losing to an old and shot fighter? . . . if Pac loses then he destroys his future and his MEGA FIGHT ASPIRATIONS.

Mosley maybe shot and old but still a very dangerous opponent for anybody at 147.

He probably regrets it now. I've been wondering that all along.

honestly, we still dont' know that Pac could beat Shane at this point.

its still an intriguing fight. No different from any other fighter that has fought after a loss.

    morales II, Cotto,...you name it.

When did Roach say that? A year ago after the Hatton fight? Pac always said he'll fight anybody, anytime, anywhere...

Four years ago, Roach said the highest he'll put Pac in is 135 lbs and that JL Castillo was too big for Pac. A year ago, Roach thought Shane was still too big and strong for Pac. But it changes every year, with every fighter he faces. I'm sure after Pac dismantled Cotto, had Shane been available after the Pac-Floyd negotiations, we would have seen Pac-Shane last March 13th instead. And after his Clottey fight, Pac called out Shane should he win against Floyd.

So what's your point. Floyd had a great victory against Shane. Pac had nothing to do with what Floyd did, but of course, you had to mention Pac's name to further glorify the already glorified win.

Not for Manny... I don't think he wants to taste the power of shane... and Cotto has been KO'd before, Shane hasn't

Besides his age, Mosley was looking a very dangerous boxer (due to the use of EPO)
Manny would have faced a much stronger Mosley without the ramdon blood testing
    that Mosley had against Mayweather.

Cotto was considered a better fighter at the time. The fight made more money for Top Rank.

You're also ignoring the fact that Pacquiao and Roach did accept at one point, but Arum didn't want to do business with GBP so the Cotto fight was made.

Like I've said before, if the roles were reversed, people would be saying "why didn't Pacquiao fight Cotto?" and it's the exact same argument. Pacquiao couldn't have fought both, but he did fight the better fighter. That's what is important.
