The reason Cotto could put any weight behind any of his punches when he fought Margarito is because Cotto is not as strong as Shane. Shane had the strength body Margario off up close and land hooks and stay on the inside. Cotto on the other hand was forced to retreat to try a make room for his punches, only to worn down by Margarito's constant pressure on the inside.

Wait wait *****s/*******s. Do you guys believe in everything Roach says OR not? You can't choose what to believe and what NOT to believe...and then use it for your convenience to back up whatever load of **** your trying to tell.

Just because they turned him down twice doesnt mean he wasnt old or shot, they had been planning on a Mayweather. Pac and his people had recently stated since his winning of congress that no matter who Manny fights next it will be his last fight.

Because Mosley was beaten by Cotto already!! Pac makes Cotto his own Punching Bag. Pac wants the Cash Cow Floyd!! But Floyd becomes Cash COWard instead!!!

Roach didn't want Mosley because he was too good and there wasn't enough money to be made with him. It's half duck and half business. End of story.

Didn't Mayweather's fight with Mosley do huge numbers? Aren't Pacquiao and Mayweather supposed to be comparable draws?

He was to high of a risk, the strongest welterweight outthere and could knock anybody out. Roach knows how to pick his fighters, unless they are 100 percent sure to win, they will not take the fight. But if the money is right, they will take the fight no matter what. The Mayweather fight for example, is a win win situation for them, if they lose they say "we lost to the best boxer in the world", and they will be more than happy with the money. And if they win, well I dont have to explain that.....

Anyways, people say Manny fights for his fans, that could be true, but he also fights for money. Anybody who says otherwise is dumb as hell.

Yeah definately, but they chose to fight Cotto with the same amount of money because they knew Miguel was a much lower risk. I love Miguel Cotto I think he is great, but Roach knows how to pick em. Styles make fights.

Exactly. Mayweather beat the guy convincingly Roach was afraid to let Pac fight, because he knew Pac could get hurt and lose by KO

Mosley would have been the first legit welter weight for Manny (no catch weight) He would had been far to dangerous for Manny. If he was trying to prove that he belong in the welter weight division, Mosley would not be the test you would want to take. Despite Mosley age, Roach knew he would be to much of a problem considering Mosley power, speed and style of fighting. When Mosley and Mayweather fought Mosley was the older man, but it was not age that beat him it was skill that he could not overcome. Any other fighter would have had problems with Shane (as Mayweather did) including Pac, probably more so because he's easier to hit.
