If Nate Campbell beats Guzman, where does that put him in the list of ATGs?

It would definitely put him in elite status but IMO he would need to take out someone like Pac or JMM to get a mention of ATG. If he beats Guz, Pac, JMM in succession straight after Juan Diaz I would definitely rate him top 100 ATG. Probably because I hold those 3 fighters in very high regard and are a huge force even at LW, infact id favour all 3 above any of the current LW's right now.

but then he would not get full credit as those guys are from the lower weights..just like how hopkins got criticized on fights like DLH and tito...

i mean look at the fights happening on 135 now...

    jmm-casa
    guzman-campbell
    pac-diaz

    130 vs 135..

if the others at 130 won then perhaps there would be a case

Yes it does, but it doesn't mean you can start throwing the "all-time great" tag around all of a sudden. This happens to often these days.

    Nothing.

If he beat Guzman, Guzman will be relegated as an overrated Champ. Campbell also has an inconsistent Resume, no where near an ATG.

Campbell is far too hit and miss to be even talked about in top 200 ATG terms. Honestly, he's not even close right now. He needs some big wins, and a lot of them. He'd have to beat Casamayor, Guzman, Marquez decisively for me to even start thinking of it.

for him to be an ATG in my opinion is to keep the titles, get the WBC title, never mind the ring title..and defend it till he retires. Never mind about moving up, we all know very well campbell is not that a big name to earn shots at big fights without those titles. Do it like KT did...

I know, but couple a Guzman win with the fact that he's also the undisputed champion ( regardless of what Ring will have you believe ), this won't even warrant him even a mention as an ATG lightweight?

Campbell hasn't done anything to prove worthy of ATG status at lightweight, he stuck to his gameplan to beat an overhyped Juan Diaz, who cleared up from relatively weak champions.

Guzman hasn't achieved anything at 135 yet, Campbell has a lot to prove still as his resume is still pretty weak and inconsistent with the losses.

No where. And that's the best answer you can get for this type of question.

He would become the greatest lightweight to have ever existed.

but that guy never beat a fighter like juan diaz. all he did was give a boxing lesson to some guy named chavez.
