I'll always remember that no matter what Barrera is the one who got me into boxing, but before Barrera the only fighter I had watched was Hamed. People who think he was a bum are just ignorant.
Hamed was great for the sport, love him or hate him he got people to watch boxing and brought interest to the smaller divisons. He was a great entertainer but the hype did seem to get to his head later onto his career. Watch the documentry "Little Prince, Big Fight", it shows the leadup to Hamed's fight against Barrera, the guy was training in a Malibu Mansion while Barrera was in them mountains putting in real work Shame Hamed never cameback after that, he was quite the character and could punch like a mule's kick
Classless, jug eared little *****. The day Barrera owned the **** was just a sweet, sweet day for me. A highlight reel of him taking the **** out of bums (apart from Kelley) doesn't change the facts, he fought one great fighter and got owned once. He didn't come back for a reason, he knew his limitations.
No-one, I just watched the fights that's all. He came back once after Barrera, looked gun-shy as **** and unfit and got booed out of the arena. Suggesting that Hamed could come back even now and KO Barrera is ****ing disrespectful to a great fighter if you ask me, he couldn't do it in his prime when he was favourite so what would suggest he could do it now after a long layoff? A layoff where he's been spending his time eating ****ing cows-arse-burgers and mowing down innocent pedestrians to get his kicks? Not to mention the brutal rapings he must have taken when he went to jail - hope they force fed the nasty little **** with ham sandwiches for 3 months
Barerra would outbox Naz everytime they fought - Naz just doesn't have the fundamentals to catch Barerra - Barerra has skills and fundamentals, Naz has awkwardness and strange angles - Angles that don't come into play against a clever boxer puncher.
