Virgil said this in the post fight conference. Do you agree if Wards hand had not been broken he would have stopped the cobra?

    No.

The only time Ward would KO Carl is if they met on the latest edition of 'Fight Night' on the PS3/360.

No, he hasnt got enough one punch power and froch is street smart enough to handle a flurry of punches.

    Nah.

I think Froch can be stopped, but Ward ain't the man to do it.

A 2006-7 Kessler might be the man.

Nope, Ward cracks enough to hurt a Dawson but Froch is a different animal. He'd of not jacked it in like that last night.

I don't think he would have stopped Carl, but putting him down and hurting him a few times is certainly not out of the question, mind you Mikkel was a bit of a beast back then.

:deal Froch is pretty much the only fighter at 168 with Wards mental toughness.

Very close, but Froch edges it for me, both have supreme heart.

Nah. He'd have dealt with him even more convincingly and not boxed on the back foot in the later rounds, but he wouldn't have stopped him. Put a beat-down on him, but not enough to end it early.

Wasn't that due to stamina? Looked that way to me, Ward was satisfied with his earlier work, began to tire so decided to take no risks IMO.

Dawson was clearly weight drained, Ward is not a big puncher.

It was a different kind of reaction when Dawson was being hit, fatigue and weakness.

I want to see Froch fight Ward in his home town!

I am sick of the way people buzz of yanks, Wards a good fighter. But people are getting out of hand with his latest win, Dawson was weight drained.
