That is a non-sequitur. In any case, even a granite chin can be broken eventually. Look at Margarito or Andrade.
He tried to stop Froch but broke his hand in doing so. He broke his hand on Frochs Chin, says it all.
I would believe that for sure... Andre Ward is a better fighter than Froch and he probably does pack a decent punch
so hold on.. andre ward hadn't stopped anyone of any significance in years yet you think it was plausible that he would knockout the hardest one of the lot in froch. So he didn't plan to knockout Abraham? How about Green? these fights didn't go to plan either? Virgil hill is a tool if he thinks anybody with half a brain believes this.
People's love for Froch can cloud their judgement.... I'm a huge fan of his, but I reckon Ward could have stopped him (broken hand or not) Froch was getting beaten up late on. Ward is relentless & his punches are sharp and crisp. I've only seen the fight once, but towards the end I started thinking of Cotto Mararaito 1. If Ward stepped it up, Froch would have been stopped. I
Seriously? Froch got outboxed, he didn't get beaten up. His best rounds were late on in the fight. Comparing it to Cotto - Margarito is absurd.
Dawson quits against Ward a week after being sparked by Miranda and people start talking up Ward as if his nickname is literal and he has Tommy Hearns' power. You people are the biggest lot of kneejerking little quilts ever. I am leaving this thread.
Virgil Hill is an excellent trainer and fight tactician. Anybody who really knows boxing knows that anybody even guys with great chins can be knocked out. The point Virgil Hill was making is that Froch is an all out guy who was coming to try and chin Ward and he would eat a lot of leather consistently which is what happened and could result in a stoppage.
