I think Ricardo would have won as well.

I agree. Torres had him down twice. Holt has little punching power. If not for the headbutt Torres wins.

holt was even lucky, after ricardo staggered due to head butt, his hand got caught with the rope, hence he was totally defenseless when holt came bull rushing with the punch.

The ref was horrible, there was no standing eight count once a fighter goes down and gets up why is Nady getting in the way....a headbutt and a righthand and Torres was unconscious. Too Bad, Holt is already playing the if it dont make make money its dont make sense game. Oh well. I dont know if I can blame the ref or anyone really this all happeened so fast. I didnt see it in real time on the TV set. But with the luxury of replay I could see what happend .

I think Torres would've knocked Holt out in the first round if not for the head butt and I don't think it should be recognised as a victory for Holt.

Torres is a maniac, I only hope that he isn't effected in the future from that horrendous shot to the chin and that he comes back KTFO Holt in the rubber match and gets a nice fight with another title holder at 140 so he can bank some decent cash. I am totally a fan of Torres.

as someone said earlier (a couple of days ago), torres still fights like heøs a street fighter.

he's one-dimensional all the time and doesn't know when to be cautious.

bottom line is torres - although he is great on offence - is a vegetable on defence.

he said after the fight that he got careless but the truth is, like with cotto, that he's never been taught to guard against a counter because (pre cotto) he's never fought guys who were capable of doing it !

I don't know how anyone can make that assumption. Holt was down twice, but he seemed to have his barings back. The headbutt has also been overblown. There was a clash of heads, and Ricardo may have even caused the clash.

I'm starting to believe so as well, Torres had the fight, knocked them man down twice and had him in serious trouble till the headbutt occurred he opened up and took those shots from Holt. The headbutt really hurt him and nearly knocked him down if it wasn't for the ropes.

If Holt was in serious trouble, how come he showed very little after affects from the two knockdowns? Torres was leaving himself wide open, and asking to get countered. I would love to see a rubber match, but it's a stretch to say Torres wins without the clash of heads.
