Probably some meaningless fight like every other fights he's had besides the FMJ fight where he looked like a complete newb.

Canelo has victories over Cotto, Lara, and Trout. Not bad at all. Angulo, Kirkland being his lesser wins.

    Serious question or questions.

1.) Will the crowd boo and throw stuff at Canelo when he walks to the ring against another WW?

2.) Can Canelo return to Mexico safely?

I think it will be another fight where he has an obvious size advantage. They are talking about Paq for crying out loud.

The way I see it, Cotto has three possible money fights lined up where he can get a good payday.

    1. Juan Manuel Marquez- Marquez would be the A side of this matchup and demand at least a 55-45 split if not more.

    2. Canelo Alvarez- Rematch in where Canelo would definitely be the A side now where he wasn't the first go around.
I'd say Canelo would demand at least a 60-40 split if not more.

3.Genady Golovkin- Now this is the only fight of the three where Cotto could demand the much bigger split. Maybe even as high as 70-30 in his favor as its Golovkin that needs him not the other way around.

In each of these matchups, the PPV buys would be roughly in the same ballpark, anywhere from 700k-to 1million ppv buys.

Now if you're Cotto, would you settle for 40% fighting either Marquez or Canelo, or would you take a risk boxistically but gain much more financially in a 70% purse fighting Golovkin?
Historically and resume wise Cotto has a lot more to gain beating Golovkin and getting all the belts.

Something for Cotto to think about and he'd think about it a lot more if team Golovkin had the guts to make him an offer he couldn't refuse.

yeah, sadly...cotto 2 is very likely.
i wonder if it would be in ny because the only way out of gigi is that cotto brings more $ than gennady, and that gives cotto leverage.

He doesn't have LEGITIMATE wins over Lara or Trout. He was given the decisions but didn't really win the fights. As my old Dad used to say " You can dress up a pigs ear all you want but you'll never make it a silk purse":good

Bjs, least risk with decent reward. Canelo would annihilate bjs, stay away from cej ,stevens, lemieux and ggg.

Hell, ggg he couldn't beat, any other mw at 160. The 4 above he'd have a slim/to good chance v lemieux and possibly stavens (unlikely) but a shot. 2 the others he could and would handle. Lemuix tough, ggg terrible fight. But fighting at 160 bjs a win abd stevens, lemuix winnable but danger.

Gabe rasado goid tough out at 160 but that'll out him right there. Maybe destroy laea, easy win and seni hugh profile
