If Valuev doesn't want to fight for a million dollars, Vitali could try to re-match Chris Byrd to avenge a dubious loss.

if his recent track record (since he came back from retirement) he wont be fighting anyone decent anyways, he knows his limitations these days, hes slowing, loosing power... hes on the way out

enter haye...... once haye stops ruiz (which he WILL do, even if ruiz is hard to knock down haye will overwhelm him with shots) they will have nowhere to go but fight eachother, cause ya know wlad wont want any part of hayte if he stops ruiz, not with that suspect chin of his & hayes dynamite hands

Don't think so, Byrd is down to Cruiser, is even older then Vitali and didn't stand a chance until Vit damaged his rotator cuff.
Far to easy a fight and everybody knows that. Still think Boystov is the best option, if he want's to because he made clear he wouldn't (yet).

Toney will fight VK. He will ask a bzillion dollars, won't get it, then go around talking **** how the K bros are avoiding him.

Here is an idea......John Ruiz. Ruiz would fight him and I think for a reasonable price.

I don't know how else there is.

That's what everybody is hoping for... but will Haye step up and for what kind of money :think
And what's Vitali going to do in the meantime... Haye isn't known for his activity and Vit has got little time left.

Depends on when he fights next. There are a lot of heavyweights tied up at the moment and if he sits until summer then he has a lot more options. If he decides to fight somewhere around late March-April timeframe then his options are limited. Dimtrenko would fit, Toney has name value, even Tony Thompson since he has fought in Germany several times and just ko'd Witherspoon.

I'd guess Odlanier Solis or Ray Austin. He keeps saying he wants a Klitschko ASAP, and Klitschko has been clearing out prospects.

Austin is his mandatory, and fighting him would get that out of the way. Solis is #2 in the weight class

FYI, the other guys ranked by the WBC:

    Povetkin (taken)
    Toney
    Boytsov (not ready yet)
    Peter (already beat him)
    Quezada (a true no-name)
    Rossy (same)
Pianeta (facing Sosnowski, but I'm guessing he would cancel for a title shot)
    Adamek (tied up)
    Johnathon Banks
    Sosnowski (see Pianeta)
    Tony Thompson
Nagy Aguilera (possibly also a mandatory - hard to tell - Maskaev was supposed to be a mandatory, and he beat Maskaev)

    1) Tony Thompson
    2) Denis Boytsov
    3) Ray Austin
    4) Francesco Pianeta
    5) James Toney
    One of these

However I'd love to see hime smash Sam Sexton

I think they should insist on the Valuev fight, that's the best way to go and clear the path to Haye (who's tied up with a rematch clause with Valuev). Just pay the man and get it donne with.

What's this fight worth anyway? does anybody has a good notion? I guess it will make more money in Germany, right?

If they can't get that fight by any means then Solis is the way to go, at least it will be a challenge. Austin will be an easy early KO win for Vitali, another mismatch.

Other names that present challenges are Boytsov, Adamek and Povetkin, maybe these fights can be donne too.

Dimitrenko is only decent. Same with Tua after Ahunanya.

Heck, even Shannon Briggs would be Ok. At least Vitali would shut his mouth for the few minutes he would be uncontious.

Would he and Boytsov even fight with the same trainer?
