Jimmy Bivins and Lloyd Marshall would have both handed every Light Heavyweight today their arses in double quick time also
Alan Rudkin: Bantam George Benton: Middle Eddie Booker: Middle Howard Davis: Super feather Spider Webb: Middle Holly Mims: Middle Jose Medal: Bantam Ritchie Kates: Super middle/light heavy Rubin Carter: Junior middle/middle Gaspar Ortega: Welter Bennie Briscoe: Middle Holman Williams: Welter Jorge Ahumada: Light heavy Ernie Shavers: Cruiser
I can half imagine Kirkland Laing upsetting Pacquiao and then dropping the title in a first defence against Lynes...
Both would be big middleweights and make the weight comfortably :deal Both would grab straps in different weights. Seeing he was comfortable at Heavy (around 180 odd IIRC) I have no doubt Bivins would be THE MAN from middle through to light heavy if you put him IB there today. Marshall would still get caught and sparked eventually ;-) Also, 24 hour weigh in's would benefit of lot of guys back in the day who were tight at the weight. Kalule comes to mind.
