If Ortiz doesn't want to give Berto a rematch, why should PBF give Ortiz one?

Two different circumstances considering the controversy of how May-Ortiz ended. That said, I have no personal interest in seeing that fight again. Ortiz had a few good moments but Floyd was landing his right hand whenever he wanted to and would have either won a UD or scored a late stoppage. Berto-Ortiz, on the other hand, offered terrific back and forth action. Though Ortiz won a clear UD, I would still consider a rematch to be a pick em fight.

 

If Ortiz has respect for boxing public, he has to locate himself in the scheme of things. He is back to square one, with no argument for a rematch. He needs to build himself again.

 

I agree. Ortiz didn't deserve the first fight. But Berto fight was close. He looked sloppy against Mayweather. Berto rematch is exciting Mayweather rematch is a waste and likely boring.

 

Why is everyone talking about this?? You guys all know what he means.

 

Because they rather argue over dumb ****, then actually discuss a relevant question.

Ortiz shouldn't be given a rematch mostly because it was obvious he was out of his depth when fighting Floyd. But with Berto it was a good back and forth fight so why not do a rematch. On top of that he may steal another title away from Berto. Why not?

Ortiz's team may be a little worried. It was obvious something was off with Berto and his team sure as hell didn't seem prepared. I think they thought it was gonna be an easy night against Ortiz. A more focused Berto would make for an interesting fight.

 

Perhaps, you can try to see how both fights ended.

 

You're right ortiz got knocked out by floyd, and ortiz won a close decision against berto.

Ortiz is garbage and doesn't deserve being a PPV of that caliber.

Floyd needs to fight Martinez or Pacquiao next, this **** is getting old.
