if Oscar fought Vargas before tito beat him?

hoya would still have starched him imo. his speed would always have spelt doom for vargas.

 

If Vargas got off the steroids, Oscar IMO.

 

Tito Trinidad hit Vargas so hard that he shattered his jaw. Fernando Vargas was rushed to Las Vegas Our Lady of the Gracious Miracle Hospital in Downtown Vegas, where he was rushed into emergency surgery, and had his mandible transplanted with that of a cadaver. Feroz's reconstructed jaw had to be wired for 6 months.

 

I honestly think Vargas would have won that fight. Before Trinidad, Vargas was fearless and was a very capable boxer that could make adjustments when needed, or put on the pressure when it was appropriate.

He was the bigger man against oscar, and if he hadnt gotten brutalized by trinidad, then vargas would have been 100% and that was about enough for anyone to handle.

People forget these things now, but lot of people thought vargas would win that fight, many pros and well known trainers included.

 

Same outcome, IMO.
Sad part about is, This fight should be happening right now.
with Vargas the 30/31 year old getting Oscar as is now.

Instead they threw him to the wolves without a weapon and he got devoured.

DLH still wins based on their styles and his experience.

DLH was a better boxer and had better defense than Trinidad so no matter which Vargas he faced he wouldnt be getting dropped like Trinidad did.

Might go to a UD instead of a KO but DLH still wins.

 

are u kidding? vargas was roided up when he fought oscar, nothing was going to stop him. yet oscar still knocked him out. the 2nd top fighter(balco mosely in the 2nd fight) oscar beat on roids.


whats better than a roided up vargas? oscar would have destroyed a non juiced up vargas

 

Fernando was down in the first seconds of the first round against Trinidad. How did he have greater punch resistance then?
