Who here thinks him buying up all four major sanctioning bodies for belts in one foul swoop and ordering mandatory tournament fights between the fighters at those weights would be the first step?

Surely with his money in reserve, he could buy these guys out? Maybe have some backing from HBO?

He's shown with the Ring Magazine that despite owning it, they're not unnaturally favouring GBP fighters.

he doenst need to buy them out, hes already running them out of business by getting all the HBO dates and having them recogize the ring title and calling the sanction titles as mere trinkets.

One thing I'd like to see the Ring put into play.

If you're the champion and do not fight someone in the Top 10 of the Ring Ratings of your division or maybe the division below/above moving up/down, you automatically vacate the belt.

In fairness . . . the ring belt has long been recognized long long time ago before GBP bought it. :yep

I'd prefer to see him buy out the contracts of smaller promoters who aren't interested in putting their fighters in bigger fights.

I mean it's obvious Goosen and Arum don't like one another (where as Arum and Oscar seem fine)...so I'd love to see Oscar wind up promoting Paul Williams and getting him those big fights against the top Rank boys.

What will he gain from buying them out?. This is business, he won't spend money buying them out, which will cost him a lot, if there's nothing to make out of it.

What, he'll make everything ! This would be an anti-trust suit waiting to happen. He corners the market completely and forces everyone to follow in lock-step? No way. Bad for Boxing. I mean other than the tournament that is being shown on Sho-Box I can't see anyway to remedy this problem. Peace.

He's already bought them out years ago. Heck, they even had Oscar himself ranked as a top 3-5 Jr. middleweight all the way until his post Pac sabbatical

What doesn't make sense: Buying four organizations, eliminating them, only to find another organization embody the exact same garbage the first four you bought did. Then, after you buy and eliminate it, another one pops up.

What does make sense: Legitimize the Ring Belt even moreso than it is, and push to make it the premier system, hopefully running the others out of business. Wal-Mart doesn't need to buy up every little convenience store for it to be recognized by everyone as the top retail store. It just needs to prove its dominance over a period of years. The Ring needs to set a precedent as being the best, making that known, and doing so over a long period of years. Recognition comes with a track record of this sort.

Interesting idea. But dude - 17 weight divisions x 4 + "WBA Super Champions" + "Pan Pacific/Oceania/European" "world" titles and the sanctioning fees for all of those belts would put a hefty price on "value" of each alphabet.

Plus given how egotistical Suliaman is, I can't see the WBC selling to anyone.
