If Overeem fought Velasquez this year, how would that fight go down?

Guy has a contact with Strikeforce and won't give up K-1

 

Overeem has had ups and downs his entire career. He gets overrated to hell when he's on one of his hot streaks, only to be completely fried by those same people when his inconsistencies kick up again. It's only a matter of time. My money would be on Cain.

It's a hard fight to call. Overeem has a history of folding while under pressure. Overeem is also a world class striker, has a dangerous guillotine, and could very well have a submission advantage over Velasuez.

Overeem could end the fight quickly with a guillotine, or other sub if taken down. If Kongo could put Cain in jeopardy, it would be unwise to think Overeem is incapable.

If Cain can take Overeem down and defend his submission attempts, he could make Overeem fold. If Cain avoids the guillotine standing, he has a slight chance of making him fold there as well.

I would love to see it happen.
