If Pac and Floyd ever fight, the wait will be worth it because there'll be a rematch.

Although it still could have been made earlier due to the "past prime" argument, the fight will still be worth it because I don't doubt that there will be a rematch regardless of the outcome.

I dont see a reason for why both fighters shouldn't put a rematch clause. Both fighters make **** tons of money and hedge against their risk of losing, fans get twice the superfight, good for boxing.

YA HEAR THAT ARUM, LOTSA MONEY CHA CHING

It has been very obvious to me that there would be a rematch almost certainly

I think so.....why make 40-60 million when you could probably make 90-110 million for 2 fights...

Anyone care to explain why there wouldn't be a rematch clause.

Floyd had one for Ortiz ffs..

Once they get over the difficulty of making the fight the rematch will be easy. We all know it'll be close so a rematch is obvious.

What would be mouth watering is for it to be 1-1 after 2. What a rubber match!

And the ending was controversial but is there going to be a rematch??

If Mayweather wins a close or stinking decision and Pac puts him through hell then there is no way a rematch will happen IMO as he will have defeated his main foe and kept his 0. That seems to mean more to him. The fight will be close either way i think and if Pac were to win by decision then i think a rematch would happen for sure.

Except at the negotiating table -before the fight- why wouldn't both sides put place a rematch clause for their fighter?

Pacman did 3 on Morales and now on Marquez.

3 on Floyd would be sick if it goes 1-1

rematch clauses are for when one name is bigger than the other or some kind of title that people care about is on the line. This is neither no need for a rematch clause and I doubt there will be one. And I honestly dont think there will be a rematch in this fight because Mayweather will clearly win IF they ever fight each other. But I could see where Manny wants another shot and Mayweather is willing to give a rematch for a 70 to 30 split in the revenue.

I couldn't see any scenario where they BOTH didn't include a rematch clause.. makes no sense when you're at the top of the sport AND can make millions on both the match and rematch... There will be a rematch scenario OR one will retire after. I doubt they'll fight, no rematch happen, and the loser continue on his ways fighting.
