it's hard to tell when youre speaking tongue in cheek:D.

From a betting standpoint, I would put some on Gamboa - could probably make me some decent cash...

I mentioned this many times before as well.

Let him fight some more rounds to see if he can actually (learn to) spread his energy economical over 10/12 rounds (instead of coming out blazing and losing steam if he can't ko pac within 8 ).

Nowadays, the most important thing for a boxer and its management is to keep the fighter's record undefeated. While clearly the real man separate from the boys if a fighter loses and comes back.

I have no idea how Gambo will take a shot, or how he could fight off the backfoot.

Pac would look as impressive if not more destroying Gamboa's competition. I think Pac is also the bigger stronger man. So I would expect him to be able to back Gamboa up.

So I would not be so confident as you Amsterdam.

In his amateur fights he was great at dancing around the/his opponents (and jump in with good flurries and combinations) that pressured him.

In his pro fights he obviously hasn't done that because he fought guys with a way lower level than him (ie it wasn't necessary).

But I think that he is getting used to what he is doing now: overwhelming and jumping on his opponents. Don't think he can make the adjustment easy of turning back to dancing and jump in and out with combo's:think

    Time will tell.

you have to put him in the ring with a humberto soto caliber fighter before he could even dream of fighting pac

you are reasonable, you base it on styles i presume. I would also put my money on gamboa if that is the basis. But it is still a question as i haven't seen gamboa fought for full 12 rounds(haven't fought past 6). Pac is one of the most toughest fighters and has one of the best iron chins(despite his early KO loses at flyweight).

Another factor is pac has speed which kills, and he is a southpaw. Its still questionable how gamboa will do against someone like pac.

Pacs condition is also superb, pac may missed and not hit gamboa a lot of times but he is relentless with that whirlwind attack of his, and the pressure he brings. Full stamina till 12 rounds.

I want to see gamboa and how he does for full 12 rounds, perhaps a gatekeeper with a strong chin like juarez before i could do any farther assessment on the topic

Pac would knock him out. Please, we have no idea how his chin would hold up against Pac...nor do we know exactly how slick this guy is under relentless aggresion, explosiveness power & speed, great chin, warrior mentality that throws back punches when being hit rather than covering up and alot better boxing skill than Gamboas opponents thus far. This thread is a bit of a joke really, a prospect against a #p4p who happens to be a better fighter than your so called supernaturals.

lets not forget that judah is one of the best early round fighters, not that i'm comparing him to judah but my point is we haven't seen the guy get past 6 rounds. Not that i really doubt his stamina but we need facts. Just one fight of him going the distance full 12 before we can all answer this question

One fight of him fighting an A level fighter will answer the question. A C level fighter taking him 12 rounds can only mean 2 things:

    1) Gamboa carried him to go 12 rounds which means Gamboa had it in the bag all along. This doesnt really test stamina as it just a case of him throwing punches for 12 rounds, hardly comparable to MAB-Morales wars...

    2) Gamboa could not finish him under 12 rounds therefore he wasnt as good as we thought he was. And if its a case where the opponents just has an iron chin and was a one sided beating all the way through, it just means that Gamboa's power isnt good enough to put away an iron chinned fighter despite being a target practice and that it isnt really a test of stamina. Stamina is tested when your being hit back, anyone can go 12 rounds pummeling the other guy.

    3) He does prove his stamina by going through a 12 round war with an A level fighter and wins. That proves 2 things, he can beat A level fighters and he can go 12 full hard rounds. That also proves one more thing, he isnt superman.

    4) He knocks out an A-level fighter...what would he have proven?

Gamboa is ready for top 10 fighters. He is not ready for Pac though. The man would be going 12 hard championship rounds with an ATG who is probally nearing the end of his best years and I don't know if Gamboa is prepared for that pressure, workrate, good speed and power for a long fight just yet.

I could be wrong though. In 2 years I see him as the champion

I don't have a problem if he goes full 12 rounds with a B level fighter or C level fighter as long as it was total domination, it would only mean that the guy was tough and he couldn't put him away.
