...would that be enough to hang'em up, or would he haveta fight others to convince you he was the real deal?

If he beat Floyd he would be at the top of the mountain, the only way for him to go would be down.

I still think its more than likely they will never fight, especially after the 3rd Marquez fight.

I'm already convinced that he's the real deal and he could retire right now and I won't complain. Beating Mayweather will just add more to an already insane resume.

As long as Arum has options in his stable for Pac, there's no reason to risk it all and fight an outsider.

Pacquiao would have nothing left to prove. There would be no one else to look to, to enhance his legacy further. People would no doubt continue to insist he go up in weight and say fight Martinez. Would that enhance his legacy? Probably. But where does it end, up to SMW to fight Ward, etc?

Pacquiao could retire now and still be very, very satisfied with his career. A victory over Mayweather would be massive for him IMO though, it's a style people feel he can't get passed with people solely judging him on the Marquez bouts, particularly the most recent.

I would say yes that should be his last fight regardless of the outcome.

Common sense say's that Floyd will UD Pac. We've seen it time and time again in the past when 2 fighters with 2 contrasting styles (defensive vs agressive) the latter does not win. If you have a combo of both like Tyson did early in his career then that's a winner.

Pac's only chance of winning is by KO if this fight ever happens.

As great as the current top pound-for-pound fighters are now such as Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., Roy utterly dominated his opponents with ease and never even got touched.

He threw six hooks at a time and 10-punch combos, showboating so bad it made you go from hating showboating to wanting to see what he'll do next.

We never see either Manny or Floyd do the things Roy was able to do in his prime.

That's the reason most casual fans think Floyd's fights are boring cos they dnt appreciate the sweet science and they get dissapointed when Manny doesn't give a sensational performance as a agressor... just cos his opponent e.g. JMM, is being smart, fienting, picking shots etc.

he lost to Marquez, so first ask the question if Pac beat Marquez...
Pacs biggest feat is jumping weight classes and grabbing titles. Mayweathers is being undefeated. Both guys need each other on their resume imo

    Pointless thread wouldn't happen lol

I am not a Floyd fan but any pacquiao fan who thinks he could win is obviously delusional

He'd be an idiot to keep fighting if he managed to beat Floyd unless it's a rematch after a close win over him.
