If Pac beats Cotto at MW, what does it mean for him/to you?

I know this will turn into a Pac-Floyd War, which I swear on my life is not my intention. It's ESB so *****s and *******s are at a premium.

Many may already rate Pac above Floyd, I don't know nor do I care, but my question is simple:

If Pacquiao beats Cotto at MW to gain his 9th title:
    1) Does it move him above Floyd permanently? (Unless Floyd does something equally as impressive?)
    2) Where does it put him all time? (i.e. where did you rank him, where do you now rank him?)

Feel free to even leave Floyd out of this. I'm just curious because these two are the best of our generation and will forever be compared as long as they don't fight.

Cotto wont do anymore catch weights, plus him and Pac are like brothers now.

They use the same gym and trainer now. Why would they even fight? No reason when you are on the same team.

Depends on the weight they have the same trainer so Cotto would be at a disadvantage either way but if they fight at 158/9 it would deserve a decent amount of credit at a cw below 155 with no trainer then no credit at all.

That would be great accomplishment, however it's impossible for Pac to make even 155 lbs unless he weighs in clothes and hides some weights in pockets.

True, but can't you weigh whatever you want as long as its not over?

Also, **** off to the people just saying no it wont happen. It's a hypothetical. Just like all you virgins saying Floyd-Cotto at MW. Pac and Floyd have neither fought above LMW.

Pacquiao is already far too highly rated to me, it would be unbelievable(yet again) if he does move up to Middleweight and beats Cotto. This fight will never happen though, Pacquiao is 37 years old and both are trained by Roach.
