I didn't say it wouldn't be a great scalp. I said its not THAT great a scalp. Unless Pac really destroys Mayweather, I would still consider his demolition of Barrera as his biggest win.

145 would be Cotto's concession not his demand; there's a difference.

Pac's best win would be a contreversial one vs JMM.

One of his best but beating MAB put him in position to have the career we all are enjoying. That was his BIG shot and career defining moment. He's had a few but I thing the MAB fight was make or break in terms of what could or could not have been regarding PAC's greatness.

    Great accomplishment but..

Accomplishment - nothing beats MAB I
    Popularity - nothing beats DLH

For me, Pac beating Mayweather would be his biggest and best win by light years. Beating one of the top four fighters of the era and taking his zero at a weight Pac should never have been at would be historic, far far greater than a win over Barrera or Cotto. It would be the best win since Leonard-Hagler in '87.

    Not at all.

I was pissed off because you doubted my sincerity, but you're far to important to be deleted over something so trivial.

And besides, you clarified that you don't think I'm a full blown liar. I can live with that, even if you are still completely wrong.

 I'm glad. I enjoy our little jousts. ESB would not be half as much fun without you, I and Bill B getting our knickers in a twist over Mayweather and Pacquiao. :good

Hmm... hard to understand why Mayweather's scalp wouldn't be THAT great. He has displayed the skills and has had a strong enough resume to make people realize that if Floyd loses, it won't be because "he wasn't that good after all" but because who ever beat Floyd is just THAT good.

Case in point, if Marquez beats Floyd, I'm pretty sure people would see that as a sign of just how good Marquez is and not a sign that Floyd isn't that good after all. IMO Floyd has done more than enough to warrant that reaction.

YES. Cotto is a LIVE BIG BIG WW and has the tools to take Manny's little head off.

He's beaten the number one WW out there: Shane Mosely.

Also look at Cotto's resume, no one can deny he's FOUGHT THE BEST.
Cotto may have lost to Margarito but who knows what he was packing in those gloves.

All the things people were saying about Hatton: Too strong, will bully Manny, hard body puncher etc are TRUE about Cotto.
