What kind of territory on the all-time P-4-P list does Pac break into if he takes out the Golden Boy?

Does he make a massive leap from his current theoretical spot?

Does it depend on the kind of performance delivered in victory?

Who thinks he can actually beat DLH?

What is your general opinion on the fight being made? Or does that really depend on the eventual outcome at this point?

A lot of questions for you there, gentlemen.

Pick and choose at your leisure.

Thanx in advance for your opinions.

I already consider him to be the most likely candidate for fighter of the decade.

I don't think he will win but I hope he does. I'm a fan of Oscar but if he bows out after beating the best p4p fighter left then that leaves the sport a bit shaky IMO.

If Oscar shows up in the shape he has in recent fights, he will undoubtably beat Manny Pacquiao. It will take nothing short of a miracle for Pac to beat that DLH. If DLH has a massive drop off, then of course Pac has a chance.

What I expect though is that Manny will make DLH look bad for a few rounds before the greater size starts to tell and DLH beats him down in the middle rounds forcing an 8th or 9th round stoppage.

Pac, if he does win, won't gain too much credit because it will have to mean that DLH was a shell of himself. If DLH still looks good and Pac does beat him, somehow miraculously, he will move into the 50 territory of all time I'd say.

I'm not huge on Pac's talent, even though I thought he beat Marquez the first time and drew with him the second time (I'm not huge on Marquez's talent either), and I think there have been many better fighters in the lower weight divisions that I'd pick to beat him, but moving from flyweight to welterweight is nothing to be sneezed at and if he can do it against a decent DLH it will be a huge accomplishment.

Oh and as for my general opinion of the fight being made, I'd prefer it didn't get made, but at the same time I would like to see something miraculous happen like Pac knocking DLH out. Buckley's chance, but that's what I hope comes from it, rather than the all-too predictable outcome I described above.

I'm not trying to discredit Pacquiao but if he wins, I think its safe to say that it says more about how washed up Oscar is. He should NOT lose to Pacquiao.

A similar fight would have been Armstrong - Barney Ross when Hank pounds on Ross all night long.

Pacs' best chance is to use that left hand to maybe close Oscar's eye or something.....then just keep hitting ODH for the rest of the fight.

Of course, if Oscar can k.o. a juiced - up Vargas, then his left hook can easily ko Manny.

You could very well compare it to Duran's late career second coming against Barkley at middleweight, though I think Pacquiao beating ODLH would be more impressive, personally.

I don't understand Hoya stopping him late, though? Hoya has been slowing down in the later rounds dramatically for years now. Pac, not so much.
