Still ranked well below PBF. PBF was P4P #1 while he was active Pac was always a notch or two below him.

Wrong dead wrong. Cotto never made an offer to fight PBF. He never presented him with a contract fro him to accept or turn down.

You dumb mother****er. No one ever mopped the floor with PBF, quit making **** up to further your hate filled agenda.:nono You didn't even see the fight like most of these idiots here. It was close could have gone either way but not more contraversal than Pac-JMM 2.

I also love the fact that you make excuses for Chico but don't make any for PBF when everyone knows he was injured with a bad shoulder going into the first JLC fight...typical hater ****.:-(

a notch below? while pbf was fighting baldomir, pac stopped morales in 3. that was the time when many felt giving pac the p4p#1. in fact winky was #3 that time and some journalist/americans are putting him above floyd and pac.

i am surprised at people's opinions. when floyd was still active, many felt that floyd "is still" the greater fighter. but once he retired, his stock seemed gone down and many people felt that pac is now a greater fighter even with or w/out hoya in his resume. what retirement could do to people's opinion?

we could judge better once both fighters are completely retired and we can compare who is greater. as of now, floyd holds the advantage while he was at the lower weights while pac is more impressive in moving up.

    1. Yes, I think Pac's early losses (not counting the Morales fight of course, that was way later) are not so meaningful, cause he was a very young fighter when he suffered them. My opinion is that if Mayweather had lost lets say his 10th professional fight, it would also be pretty meaningless for me. And I understand what you say about Eubank and Ottke, I just mentioned them as a paradigm to show you that a fighter with losses can be greater than a fighter with no losses (cause you responded to someone starting off by "Floyd hasn't lost", that's why I mentioned this). I'm NOT saying that this applies to the Mayweather/Pacquiao comparison.

    2. Neither do I, on both accounts.

    3. True, but see #1 to understand why I mentioned this.

    4. No, I don't think Pacquiao is greater than Mayweather at this point. I think both fighters are great. But if Pac beats Oscar and goes on with his career and keeps winning, he surely will be greater. Imo Mayweather could EASILY have continued his career and could EASILY have cemented his legacy by just 2 or 3 more fights. Easily, because he has the skills to do it. Then even his critics (like hardcore Margo fans or Pac fans) would have nothing to babble about and would just shut up.

Does Pacman have more skills than mayweather? NO.

Would Pacman's style beat Mayweathers in a p4p match up? NO

Morales, Barrera, JMM all masterful boxers of the highest level.....and everybody said the same thing before Pac got in the ring with these 3

skills fly out the window when you mix it up with Pacman

as of right now Pac has the better resume and he's accomplished alot more....and he's not even thinking about retirement, while Floyd is already finished......imagine what his resume will look like by the time he retires

Pacs the greater fighter, not neceserailly the more skilled, but when you rank ATG's thats not how it goes anyways

or else Rocky Marciano would never be mentioned in the top 100 much less the top 10, am i wrong?

For me if Pac Man could beat De La Hoya and follow it up with a win against Hatton, he would be clearly better than Floyd. As of right now Floyd edges it because he beat Del La Hoya.

Please Pac been a better fighter than Floyd. Nothing on FLoyds resume even comes close to Mannys wins over Jmm, Morales, and Barerra. No one can say that these 3 fighters arent great, and were in their primes when Pac beat them. What fighter was great and in their prime when Floyd beat them?

True, I was a true Pac hater but Pac won me over by beating the crap out of all the favorites I had to beat him. The guy deserves all the adulation he has.
