the 3rd fight was a cherry pick. Read & notice where it says the 3rd fight was a cherry pick gone wrong.

4th fight was not a cherry pick but was made as a result of the third fight going the wrong direction.

Again pac & Roach both said they "overlooked" marquez. I dont know what that means to you but sounds like they were confident they were going to destroy JMM in the third fight.

I know right. I'm tired of those boring, uneventful fights that Pacquiao and Marquez put on. There's never any drama; and there's obviously no competitiveness. I'd rather see Floyd fight Amir Khan.

There is no proof, but there is an overload of circumstantial evidence. JMM's body transforming at 39years old, he is working with a major player in the PED black market, his refusal to take VADA (who his trainer isn't connected to), and his new found power. If that isnt evidence for you, all I can say is that I hope you never do jury service, because not all evidence in life is in the form of black and white proof (which is often impossible to get). Indeed, it is impossible to get black and white proof of JMM being on drugs or not because he wont take any tests that his trainer isnt connected to, and no one can make him. Therefore it is not groundless to assume JMM is on drugs; it is the opposite.

Anybody that knows styles and matchups and who followed the leadup to fight 3, knows Pacquiao did not overlook Marquez.

"Manny started training camp earlier than usual. He's so motivated to shut Marquez' mouth. We're tired of hearing him cry."

"I've never seen Manny so motivated for a fight."

"Manny is a merciful guy, he takes his foot off the gas. I've instructed Manny to have no mercy on Marquez, we're going to make him pay."

All quotes in the leadup to Marquez-Pacquiao 3.

"There i'snt anything Marquez can do to stop Manny. Even God himself cant help him!" -Alex Ariza

Does'nt sound to me like a fighter that took Marquez lightly.

Freddie Roach is no dummy. He gameplanned well for the 3rd Marquez fight. Dumbnuts in this forum who are in plentiful were of the thinking that Pacquiao would come out Tyson style and run over Marquez.
Roach knew better. Roach knew that Marquez was still proven to be a top fighter if you came at him for him to use his counterpunch abilities which are still at the very top level.

Roach know that the worst style for an ageing fighter to face is a mover.
Pacquiao's gameplan was to make Marquez come to him, and thats how it went the first several rounds.
What went horribly wrong for Pacquiao and Roach's gameplan was that Marquez was still quick enough to lead and probe Pacquiao with leads to the body.
Marquez and Nacho who are smarter than the other tandem, allready knew that Roach was likely to use that gameplan, so what Marquez did was probe tactfully and waited for Pacquiao to counter. When you probe tacfully, you dont put mustard on your shots.
Marquez probed, waited for the counter, and recountered.
The recounter thrown with a full helping of head snapping mustard behind it.

Both Pacquiao and Roach's plan were lost and went down the drain when they realized Marquez was still quick enough to lead and not leave himself completely open for Pacquiao to counter.

Lead, pullback and or to the side, and wait to counter Pacquiao's counter.

Marquez was countering and dominating the wannabe counterpuncher who just simply was shown not to be at Marquez' level when it comes to probing, boxing, and counterpunching.

When Pacquiao wanted to turn aggressive, it was too late, Marquez was so focused to boxing and countering a Pacquiao on the backfoot, it became even easier when Pacquiao wanted to lead.
POP POP POP, head snapping back every which way when Pacquiao attempted to come in with any type of mustard on his shots.

For the first time that I've ever seen Pacquiao, he was relugated to throwing arm punches.
Pacquiao never as much as stunned Marquez in fightg 3 because Pacquiao was lost. He was just throwing arm punches afraid to overcommit himself and leave openings for hard head snapping counters that were finding Pacquiao every time Pacquiao would commit to throwing real shots.

    :lol:What a clinic!

Pacquiao-I was bigger than he and I had defeated better, stronger opponents since our last fight. We also underestimated him. He was in great condition, as usual, but he also looked stronger. Maybe cutting urine out of his diet agreed with him? But he did not hurt me
    ------------------
MANILA, Philippines – Reigning WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao admitted he made a big mistake when he underestimated Juan Manuel Marquez in their fight last November.-ABC News
    --------------------------
Looking back on that narrow victory, Pacquiao admitted that he never expected that from his Mexico City foil.

“I think we underestimated Marquez,” Pacquiao would state. “But we trained hard for this fight. The training has been the same.”-Examiner

Im not saying pacquiao did not train hard for the fight, he is a classact & always delivers. Im sure he tried his all on the third fight but just came up short when they actually fought. I think paquiao wanted to steam roll marquez & figured he would seeing how in the 3rd fight Marquez was alot older from there last fight & pac had been a beast in the 147 class. Im sure pacquiao trained to demolish & ko JMM & figured he could by underestimating him but came up short. Like I said I do believe pac gave it his all but JMM is the better boxer.

There were three, actually. Followed by a knockout.

Most one-sided rivalry to ever see four installments? :think

Even Bernard Hopkins let up on poor old Robert Allen after three.
