If Pac destroys ODLH, will Dec. 6, 2008 become the Philippines' version of D-Day?

theres an outside chance he will beat him...but he will never destroy ODLH. But beating him even by a narrow decision would be enough to make him a god in the phillipines...if he is not one already

Yes. Fillipino men would be full of pride and their women full of lust.

bull**** they dont. I work in sales, sometimes he is actually how I relate to filipinoes (believe me, some times the language barrier is so bad thats all I can do) and its almost an instant convo turn around. He IS thought of as a god down there, men, women, children, LOVE this guy.

 You must be kidding me

My brother is getting married to a filipina and he has told me the exact opposite....EVERYBODY there watches his fights! He is an icon over there...Because many don't have access to cable or PPV, Mannys fights are shown at movie theaters where tickets are sold. They sell out at an incredible pace. So yea my brothers future wife is a fan as are both of her sisters....I don't know many chicks anywhere else that are avid boxing fans or even fans of a particular fighter

So yes it would be D-Day for the phillipines

my fiance's family visits the phillipines regularly and still has a house down there. they have no idea who he is. possibly because of the generation gap but i say thrilla in manilla and it gets more response than saying pacman.

my work and city are full of filipinos who don't know **** about boxing but are obsessed with pac. they have told me that cities literally shut down for pac fights and that he's their biggest celeberity by a long shot. they all think he's the greatest boxer that has ever lived hahaha and they're serious.
