This is probably the right scenario. Pac is already the biggest foreign boxing star in America of all time. He would have had more exposure at a younger age here and would have been given more media exposure. The only thing holding him back is the fact that Americans give less attention to the lower weight classes. De La Hoya in part sold himself on his good looks. Tyson was an exciting heavyweight machine early in his career.

For a none american fighter to be invited to see the president, i think pac is big as it is. He might be bigger in the US if he was from the US but world wide he's as big as anybody has been in history.
The only difference would be more ESPN coverage when he fights.

If he was an american boxer he could have been huge, considering he has the charisma, warrior mentality inside the ring , and he loves the boxing fans. Pacquiao is the savior of boxing, without him right now boxing will be long dead.Everytime he fights you always get your money's worth. So I have to say yes he could have been bigger than the three(Floyd,Oscar and Tyson).

You can argue he's bigger than DLH. I think he's averaging better numbers than DLH.

He'd be bigger than he is right now and he's already right up there without being American.

He could be bigger than all of them but it depends how well he'd be marketed and sold to Americans.

He would never surpass Tyson, even as an American.

Far from the truth, and you know it.

The fact is, both need each other and are tied to each other.

Both are mentioned with the other.

Both will lose greatly on not fighting each other, in many ways.
