    sure, coz castillo is cotto?

if there's anyone to bash, why not start with floyd? he wants marquez to fight at 144 when he doesn't even have a fight at 140 yet and just 2 fights at 135.

Who are those opponents then? I hope you are not referring to Marquez who, as a couple of ESB'ers alleged, Pacquiao outweighed by 9 lbs in their last fight (

), when in the contrary, Pacquiao and Marquez officially weighed in at 129 and 130 lbs respectively, and subsequently re-hydrating themselves 24 hours later to 145 and 141 lbs accordingly... a difference of 4 lbs.

Here are some of Pacquiao's other high profile fights (those I could dig up easily) with his weigh-in and fight night weights against his opponents. (If people have data with his other fights, feel free to add)

    Pacquiao - Marquez 1
    125 Weigh-in 125

    Pacquiao - Morales 1

    Pacquiao - Morales 3
    129 Weigh-in 129

    Pacquiao - Marquez 2
    129 Weigh-in 130

    Pacquiao - Diaz
    134.5 Weigh-in 135

    Pacquiao - Dela Hoya
    142 Weigh-in 145

    Pacquiao - Hatton
    138 Weigh-in 140

As you can see, by far, the most that Manny outweighed his opponents is 5 lbs, half of your alleged 10+ lbs weight advantage you claim he enjoyed against previous opponents. I know my data is incomplete. So unless you could produce a fact that proves my point to the contrary, I have to disagree with your claim of hypocrisy on the part of Team Pacquaio.

    I don't remember writing 10lbs nor why I would think 10lbs.

Maybe I was thinking of how much weigh Pac has been adding for awhile has been 10+ lbs.

Here's the chronology of our exchange of posts, Eze. I even quoted you in post #161 (http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showpost.php?p=4360771&postcount=161) just to make sure things are factual and has basis, and thus, leaving no room for denial. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here. Hope you don't confuse weight gain to fight night weight advantage again and in return accuse Team Pacquiao of being hypocrites for having benefited from such similar weight advantage before. As far as I know, such allegation is not true and that Pacquiao has yet to outweigh his previous opponents by 10 lbs or more. But like I said, my data is incomplete. It could still be refuted and proven wrong. :good

No worries, Eze. At least you are honest enough to admit your mistake. :good

Cotto should do exactly what Oscar did - meet Pac in the middle.

De La Hoya was fighting at 150-154. Pac was fighting at 135.

Pac came up, Oscar came down, they met at 147 (though Pac could only manage to weigh in at 142lbs).

Cotto is now fighting at 147. Pac is fighting at 140.

Pac will come up, Cotto should come down, they should meet at 143-145.

Fair is fair. Pac is not big enough to fight at Cotto's best weight just the same as he couldn't fight at Oscar's best weight. He has to try and limit their rehydration weight to ensure the playing field is as level as possible. If the fight is going to be made, a compromise must be reached. If Cotto is scared of the compromise, he should just fight Clottey again or someone else his own size.

that's why haters don't want to understand this, they are claiming that cotto is again draining himself at 145 lbs, who said so?. them, beacause they assume that they know more about cotto's body than cotto himself, how's that possible, tell me are they some nutritionist or someything or just plain homo?.

if you put your self on pac's shoe what would you do?. you have to try to demand all possible advantages to level the playing filed even if it does very little effect..i think going down to 145 lbs could barely affect cotto's performance, he wouldn't agree if it does so..
