    :rofl:rofl:rofl

same as their idol, who upon seeing the limelight, adulation and success was being garnered by a midget from a third world country across the pacific wept in envy.

and proudly announced his comeback on the day that pac fought just to get some of the limelight back.

he should be like pac, join the movies, put out an album or two or join politics. he should stop joining wrestling shows really. :rofl

i give the slight edge to floyd, and i think he is leagues above joe in skills....but i also think floyd defended against less then stellar opposition as well......and has the same question marks of cherry-picking people....both have undefeated records....but both there "O"s get overplayed becasue of lack of testing themselves......i give floyd a little more credit because, i'm not a floyd hater and i see hes got several fights on the horizon and people just need to be patient......but at the moment the negative marks on calzaghe are almost identical to that of floyd....

Manny is fighting well beyond his maximum weight limit so it's not unreasonable to demand Cotto to work extra harder to lose those two pounds. Pacquiao's clear disadvantage in height is reason enough to ask Cotto for a catchweight.

That's part of the negotiation, I guess, and catchweights are common in boxing. As long they agree to it, there is no problem. Now, you can go home now and watch Sponge Bob cartoons.

Who's cutting so much? DLH? Pac moving to 154 would have been ridiculous. DLH chose to go 147, if that was ridiculous, then he shouldn't have taken that decision. He was the one that wanted it, he got it, it's his fault. Aren't you saying that for JMM vs Floyd? You are not saying much I didn't already say.

    End of discussion.

If Cotto and his team agree then people should shut the **** up with pathetic excuses. These guys run the man's career and if they say they can do something then they know best.

contracts are considered as meeting of the minds. that is why if both fighters agree to a 145 catchweight, then heck with it. both fighters earn and we get to see a great fight.

below 145 cotto has said he will not fight right. he weighed in at 146, he can the 1 pound by shitting and peeing before the weigh in.

seriously, 1 pound is not so much and amount of spin can convince fans, hardcore or otherwise of that.

i personally would like for pac to take it at 147 but one side tells me that he is giving too much in this case. cotto can comfortably make 145. if the fight is fought at 147, he will come in around 160 fight night. for 147 fight, pac would probably come in at 142 and be around 148 come fight night. too much advantage for cotto in my opinion.

force=mass x acceleration. when the other guy is bigger than you, is it really so hard to comprehend that he can generate a lot more force than you?

We aren't talking about Pac going to 154 we are talking about him at 147 vs Cotto.

If theres no difference at 145 to 147 than why can't they fight at 147?

Because they wanted Cotto to drain himself not be 100%

Cotto is shedding 1 more pound to be at 145. Pac is a small guy at welter. Seems fair to me. You don't complain about JMM vs Floyd. It tells me all I need to know really.

    I have complained about it.

Not as much because I see it as a warm up fight, and if you want Mayweather to fight Pacquaio then why be mad at him for fighting Marquez as a warm up?

That's not the point though. It's about Marquez too, not just Floyd. So it's ok for Marquez not be at 100% because it's Floyd's tune-up? You'll say he chose to take it, it's his decision. Same with Cotto.

that is why i spend more time in the lounge. and actually thinking of leaving esb altogether for 2 reasons.

    1. esb thing is ruining my professional obligations already.:D too little work.

    2. when some floydettes began insisting that pac and pbf are the same size, i knew the quality of this board is deteriorating.-(
