Massive IF but Ill play along

1.Marquez- based on 3 razor thin fights with pac and a ko win
2.Pacquiao- based on ko of floyd
3.Floyd- Marquez win would be revised and thought of as him not honoring 144 limit, and essential fighting a lightweight as a welterweight(I dont believe this but this is how it would look)

If it happened that way, and you are talking about ATG status, then:

    1. Mayweather
    2. Pacquiao
    3. Marquez

Exactly where they stand relative to each other now.

This is a clear case of styles make fights. I can see this as a very muddy picture. I think you need a broader view. Pac beat 2 of three common opponents in a much better fashion but struggled against a counter puncher. I know there is a predisposition in terms of wanting a clear number one, but I'm not sure that is realistic here.

PAC above Floyd, and Marquez below both of them because he is much below right now.

Marquez would need to rematch Floyd and beat him this time to possibly become #1.

This doesn't make any sense? If Pacquaio knocks out Floyd he goes above Floyd.

    a) So?

    b) Give it a few years after both retire. History will do great things for Floyd's legacy as it did for Ali; once he retires and has been gone, all of his out of the ring actions which cause people to vehemently hate him and dedicated time to discrediting him will not be unfairly associated with his boxing. His place on lists of record books will be undeniable, as will his being the greatest undefeated fighter of all time. Plus, all the children who spend all day not discussing boxing but instead discrediting Mayweather will be approaching their late twenties+ and will hopefully be mature enough to be objective and non-contradictory in their analysis.

What's that old saying? If my aunt had a pair of balls she'd be my uncle?
