    and underrated Hatton.

I just think Pac will walk Hatton into the left hand and sidestep him and also at times keep Hatton guessing by keeping that jab active, pop him with a lead left and follow up with the right uppercut.

Hatton will try to jam his head into PAcquiao's chest and push him back against the ropes but IMO Pac is too light on his feet

either way it goes i'll bump this after the fight.

It'd be unfair to say that Pac was overrated if he loses....Hatton is the linear and most dominating 140lber of the past five years, sometimes greats lose fights against very,v ery good opponents.

You don't have to beat loadsa greats and only lose to greats in order to be great. The only thing that will change if Pac loses is his place in my top 100 ATG list....if he wins he rises higher.

hmm says I won't say overrated cause Hatton is the best at JWW.
Alright fight analysis you have. Even though Hatton is the bigger and stronger fighter, what good is it to have power if you can't land any of your punches. I'm going for speed in this fight and team Pac is already aware of Hatton's style. Can Hatton match Pac's speed by May 2nd and will he be able to utilize his style of in-quarter fighting/ body shots?

hatton is the best fighter at 140. while pac was the best at 135, he clearly want the best at 147. imo, taking the top dude in his division will walys be tough. specially in this case as 140 isnt pac's normal fighting weight.

this fight is a lot closer than many think. the oddsmakers are still a bit awed by pac's win over dlh. i dont think i've overrated pac, win or lose.

hmm says I'm not really worried about the weight difference cause both these guys are naturally and normally walking around at 150+ when they are not fighting or preparing for a fight. If I remember, they were both like 154 lbs. before their training. It's just Hatton is currently the best in his class. They just lose enough before weigh in and bring it back up by fight night.

The way i see it if someone thinks Pac beat Hatton but instead Hatton beats Pac, then they either overrated Pac, underrated Hatton, or both.

correct? unless there's something like an accidental cut or an injury not caused by a punch or something like that..

hmm says... he won't be surprised by the number of excuses that will be made for either fighter if they lose.

LOL...Pacquiao is just testing himself. There's nothing against him if he does lose. Pacquiao fight Hatton is like Hatton fight a 154lbs. Will you overrate Hatton if he lose to the best 154lbs fighter, i'd say not.

both fighters deserve the merits who ever will win. Pac or Hatton, the two will benefit the fight mutually. both team are overating themselves at present

    I disagree.

Pacquiao should be commended for taking this fight in the first place, at this weight. Can you imagine, Ricky, say, fighting Mosley, say, at 147 lbs and losing and people saying he was overrated as a result?

Pacquiao has more to gain from beating Ricky than Ricky has from beating Pacquiao, in terms of actual accomplishment.

If Pacquiao performs very well against such a good opponent at that opponent's ideal weight of 140 lbs (assuming Ricky also performs very well), he'll still have made a big statement.

I wouldn't call it that. Overrating and underrating will have nothing to do with the true outcome. This is all about styles, as always in boxing. ^ It looks as if you have a tactical basis for your reasoning anyway, no? Or are you implying that Hatton is just going to be stupid and basic about moving into the left, and walking into punches every time? It does sound a bit generic, admittedly. It also still sounds too much like the Diaz and De La Hoya fights, which as you know I find extreme fault with.

You think Manny's going to land his leads and sidestep Hatton - alright.. What happens when Pacquiao misses a lead? What if the lead has no effect? Hatton waits for the sidestep, he lives for it. That's when Hatton collapses with his little arcing haymakers - his hardest outside ****. Watch the tapes. Any tape. Have you ever noticed that Hatton tries to force the lead from his opponents basically every time? He's waiting for his man to start moving and shifting so he can pounce - something he'll be able to force Pacquiao to do simply by coming forward, as an added bonus..

Your descriptions and others have belied completely Hatton's obvious tendency to plow forward no matter what is happening at all times, and Pacquiao's own signicificant tendency to retreat and fall back whenever any opponent launches forward.. Perfect marriage, right? Or maybe just completely non-mention worthy based on all the analysis I've seen anywhere. I'm on my own, apparently. I guess most people are expecting Pacquiao to suddenly become some 'fearless matador' against the first real bull he will have ever faced. Nothing would seem less likely. Manny gives 6 feet to his lesser opponents when they unload.

Also, "Pacquiao is far too light on his feet?" Far?? Hatton's boots aren't exactly turtle slow either, you know. There's "far too light" for someone like David Diaz, and there's the ever so slight difference between someone who is fast and someone who is somewhat faster. Footspeed isn't a massive advantage against a guy who is also quick on his feet, inside an enclosed area. It's also alot easier to come forward than it is to move back - and takes far less energy.. Pacquiao is going to be working extra hard.

The first American ever (probably) to describe Hatton as essentially a counter puncher.

The man has been saying it himself for years!

hmm says sounds like it cause ever since Mayweather said they're not worried about Pac's speed and it's just timing... automatically I thought to myself, counters...which is the most logical sense as one's fallback. I'm just not used to seeing Hatton doing it so I probably have to watch more of his vids.......

    thread hijacked...
    again not overrated.
