If Pac loses to this version of Floyd, it will taint his legacy more than Prime Floyd

    The difference between Floyd and Pacquiao is chin, skill, record and ppvs. I'd you're a Pacquiao fan, you've forgotten Floyds fights on purpose. If you're a Floyd fan, then you can appreciate boxing and brawling. Floyd can do both effectively.

    I appreciate Pacquiaos very good skills, and the fact that Pacquiao is also a skilled brawler, but Pacquiao is ineffective against boxers.

    It won't do anything to Pacquiao. Pacquiao is already set, he's the greatest of this generation and an ATG. It won't affect him as much as it would Mayweather. Pacquiao could retire right now and it won't affect him that this fight never happened. Mayweather though, would be affected and criticized all the way for not making this fight. Pacquiao doesn't need Mayweather to improve anything, yes it will make his record look way hotter by giving Mayweather his first loss but he doesn't necessarily need it when Mayweather's demands are out of order.

    And yet somehow, 3 years away from the sport forced an athletic decline on Muhammad Ali despite not being in wars and still young. Floyd on the other hand is 35, wear and tear through training/sparring alone can add to that...and inactivity isn't always the best thing.

    Athletic decline. Even Athletes in non-combat sports decline with age. Tennis players, Soccer players, Basketball players, etc.

    If you want examples as to how Floyd was athletically back in the day...go watch his fights from 130-140.

    Here; watch these fights I posted in one of my threads. Watch the legs, movement, speed {feet and hand}

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=392950

    Then watch Floyd's last two fights.

    So basically, to me, he is more like Post-exile Ali right now. Still quite an athlete but not the agile/fast athlete he once was. Both adapted to where they currently are based on the physical-"now"

    Pacquiao is declining more than Floyd.

    Sure Floyd's legs aren't as good as they used to be, wasn't really a dancing WW to begin with though.

    Pacquiao is slowing down, and that's all his game is really about, speed.

    doesn't mater, this fight is irrelevant now, we all now know Pac stands zero chance hence the level of interest is no longer there. **** this fight, move on.

    the way i look at it, there both past there prime so the fight will be less exciting but there on pretty much on even levels as declined neither is in there prime. Manny is clearly slowing more because he decided to take the brawler route and floyd to the boxer route. Manny would never beat floyd prime for prime lets get real floyd was a unbelievable. Right now as it stands i give a manny a much better chance of winning but if it goes the distance he will lose. He cant and never has had the ability to outbox floyd
