Do you think Sky would give us it for free like ODLH/Mayweather or stick it on with a shitty british card like Pac/ODLH? :think

I think they would do it as a stand-alone Sky Box PPV.

De la hoya vs mayweather was a huge non british fight and we got that for free. It seems we only pay for box office if a british fighter is involved. Maybe they aren't allowed to charge as part as their deal with HBO?

Mayweather wasn't a big name over here at the time and oscar wasn't massive outside of sport's fans. Mayweather and Pacquaio i'd say are both better known over here amongst casual fans due to there fights with hatton than oscar ever was. Also oscar fight with hopkins was PPV.

It would definetly be PPV, whether there would be a card in the UK before i'm not sure

Whether an event is box office is determined by what the demand is though to be. So usually the only way a fight will be box office is if it contains a British fighter AND is thought to generate enough profit to warrant it, most importantly this includes the costs of getting the event itself

Due to HBO's probable syndication fee for it, and the fact there is a huge demand to see the fight in the UK it will almost certainly be on SKY PPV

I reckon there will be quite a few British promoters clamouring to get one of their cards on if Sky want a UK leg for the PPV.

I think it would be PPV for sure. Sky have been trying to build them both over here for a while now. I'm sure they would have the two of them over here promoting it as well.

Its not going to happen so no point in talking about it.

    Talk about Pacquiao vs Mosley.

I think it'll be PPV. I assumed this as soon as they started showing all Pac/May fights for free. Thought they'd want some pay out at the end of it. It'll be such a big fight that half of the promotional work will be done for them.

They show Pac and Mayweather fights for free because very few idiots are willing to pay £15 a pop to stay up until 5am watching boxing esp. when there is no British fighter involved.
