If Pacquaio's issue with taking the blood testing was Mayweather demanding it...

Why couldnt he have done the blood testing for another of his fights.

The Mosley fight would have been perfect, Mosley an ex-ped user, already shown he has no problems with osdt, and would have been the perfect f*** you to floyd, yea i will take the blood tests but not on your terms.

Im sure boxing fans and Pac fans, and Mayweather haters would have appreciated this and it would have removed doubt on his possible drug use.

So now it looks like he will never do the random blood testing, maybe it was Mayweather chickening out of the fight, but the fact that he gave him such a hard time to negotiate this and i still have never seen Pac agree to this himself despite what a lot of people on here say has to at least raise some eye brows.

In the Olympics where they have random olympic style blood testing all the way up to the day of competition i have never heard of a competitor putting up a fuss about it or not competing because of this and they dont even get paid a penny in the olympics.

I wish Pac himself would come out and say something along the lines of "I dont need Mayweather, but if he would like to fight I will agree to his blood testing demands so the ball is in his court let him decide", the fact that he is so indecisive when he is interviewed on tv and really avoids talking about it is a bit concerning.

The reason he doesn't do it for any fight is because he doesn't have to. The commission haven't ordered it.

Floyd has made the same weight gain as pac (16= 106, 32=154) infact floyd jumped up 4 pounds higher.

Fitzsimmons knocked out the heavyweight champ of the world whilst weighing 168 pounds.

Atleast ten boxers have achieved more than pac to date.

No reason to suspect him. If the commission orders it and he refuses then it looks suspicious. But as far as I know he's agreed to, taken and passed every test set by the commission.

The problem with what you said is that Pac has agreed to do the blood tesing with a 21 day window. Then later on (apparently) he a agreed to do it with a 7 day window.

If he has a problem with Mayweather asking for it or not doing anything that the commision doesnt ask for, then don't negotiate at all. Simply say no the commision doesnt require it, and do not negotiate... example- I will do only what the commission requires non-negotiable. That was not done.

Yeah he compromised whilst he felt it wasn't impeding him. He obviously didn't wanna ruin his preparations and has no reason to let them be ruined since he has no obligation.

I'd have loved him to have agreed after floyd beat mosley but he's under no obligation to do so. The fight is much less relevant now.

    You're not using your head.

First off, giving random blood samples is a pain in the ass. I don't think there is anyone out there that enjoys getting stuck with a needle and having blood removed. Even in the first negotiation, Pacquiao was willing to give unlimited urine. Manny has stated that he agreed to Floyd's terms in the second negotiations to see if that really was the only thing holding up the fight. Why didn't we get the fight that time?

Second, the Mayweather's see something in Pacquiao that makes them incredulous/suspicious/fearful. Listen to the way Floyd Sr. talks about Manny's performances at junior welter and above. The man can't believe what he's seeing and doesn't want his son to fight that Pacquiao. He makes the excuse that Manny has to be a cheater. If Pac did OSDT and fought someone else and appeared to be the same devastating fighter, what makes you think Floyd would then be ready to step up and face him? He would have proof that the guy he and his family claimed was a cheat is actually clean. Therefore, he could expect the same guy that his dad simply can't comprehend would be opposite him in the ring. No way it would happen.

You mentioned the Mosley fight. Suppose Shane and Manny had undergone the blood testing regimen prior to their showdown and we got the same fight we all witnessed. Seeing Pac knock Shane down, and hearing Mosley state post-fight that Manny hit him harder than he's ever been hit before, would've had the Mayweather's running for the hills permanently.

The only potential way this fight happens is if Pacquiao saves the OSDT for negotiations with Floyd and if the Mayweather's cling to the hope that Manny will somehow be a completely different fighter in the ring as a result, or somehow pop a positive test. This is still highly unlikely because I don't believe the Mayweather's really think Manny is dirty. They are terrified that he is clean.

Pac doesn't like having blood drawn obviously. Why would he take a blood test. There's no good reason to do it.

I'm no doctor or physician but I'm pretty sure having blood drawn near fight night does not physically weaken a person. However it does not take much to convince me. If a handful of fighters came out and made it loud and clear that stringent drug testing is a bad idea I would easily side with them. Pac and Hopkins are the only ones who seem to have a problem with extra blood tests. Would it kill them to go through the program just ONCE??

Floyd is not the commission. Why should Pac agree to him? If the commission orders it, Pac will do it.

    End of story.

I'm going to explain it one more time, because people are stupid.

Pacman doesn't want blood drawn in the days before the fight. When he fought Morales, blood was drawn right before the fight. He attributed this (along with other things) to his poor performance.

He was sincere enough in his belief that having blood drawn before the fight affected him, that he included it in a lawsuit against his manager - for allowing it to happen. (This was not a drug test, and there was no point in it happening right before the fight, it should have happened further out from the fight - his manager really did **** up)

So we have established, years before the Mayweathers came into contention, that Pacman has a sincere belief that having blood drawn before a fight weakens him.

It doesn't matter if you believe it weakened him. It only matters that he has proven, years ago, that he has a sincere belief that having blood drawn not only weakens him, but helped result in his crap performance.

That explains why he wanted a cut off date. His motivation is established, undeniable historical fact.

Whether the Mayweathers knew of pacmans lawsuit, and the fact that he attributed the blood being drawn before the fight for his poor performance, when they made their demands is not clear.
However, I suspect that they were well aware of it, and have tried to use it as some silly game. After all, it is clear that Floyd has no interest in "cleaning up the sport" and it is also clear that there is no testing benefit from drawing blood before the fight. So the only reasons for the demand are because they are:
    1) the Mayweathers are ignorant and think there is some point in doing blood tests up to the fight (possible)
    2) the Mayweathers know there is no point, but want to use it as a character smear to get into Pac's head (possible)
    3) the Mayweathers know there is no point, but know that Pacman has a proven, established belief that drawing blood before a fight hurts his performance. (most likely)

People who buy into this issue have no knowledge of boxing history, or are willfully ignoring it.
