Yes. Then if he went on to beat the likes of Cotto and Floyd, he could be comfortably top 10.

Top 5 would mean he'd have to be in front of the likes of Ezzard Charles, Archie Moore, Roberto Duran, Muhammad Ali etc.

    Big call.

Duran started at 118 and won a middleweight title. :good

    YES.

If he beats De La Hoya (I don't think he can) then I think Pacquiao will have a legitimate claim to be a greater fighter than Mayweather. Some will think he is, some will maintain he isn't, but Pac will have given himself a legitimate claim (as I don't think he has one right now, I think Floyd is the clearly greater fighter as I write).

However, as Floyd is the more skilled of the two, for Pac to become generally accepted and regarded as the greater fighter, he needs to beat Hatton as well (and I seriously think he could win that one). If he did that, his resume and achievements would be clearly clearly greater than Floyd's, rendering Floyd's superior skills a mere side-issue.

For me, it would then be beyond doubt. Pacquiao would be a serious ATG up there with guys like Roy Jones Jr.

If you ask me, they shouldn't be far apart at all right now.. If he beats DLH, I think he should definitely surpasses Mayweathers legacy.. Defeating Hatton would improve his legacy even more as well.. Pacquiao has a great chance in becoming a possible top 10-15 ATG..

    :yikes

If he continues fighting for 3-5 more years, and does it succesfully, then we'll talk about this again. Until then... cmon man. Pacquiao is great, but lets not get carried away!

Floyd is overrated, he had some good wins but there are so many fights he ducked too

I'd say one more good wn and pac surpasses him

i dont think so. pbf has also defeated hatton and dlh. so that's like saying that pac has a better career that pbf before both of them fought hatton and dlh.

If Pac beats De La Hoya and Hatton he's the best P4P since Roy Jones was boss.

Never gonna happen though. De La Hoya should beat him, and Ricky Hatton would stomp his guts out.
